Recently I've been getting a few PM's on how to get sprites/backgrounds. Like the honest amatuer that I am, I've explained that I just get them from the MK Warehouse or from people who happen to know how to rip sprites. *waves to ]{ombat*

Then I get the question on how to get the sprites from the Warehouse. Since I've gotten more than one request for this info, I decided to post this info on how to copy and paste using the MS Paint program for those absolute beginners who may not have any other image program. Don't be upset if you happen to be in this group. A little over a year ago I was and in a sense still am one of them.

Step 1:

Go to MKWarehouse by going to http://www.mortalkombatwarehouse.com/ or by click the link in the Networks section of MKO. Open up Paint.



Step 2:

Select the sprite you want to get. Guess who I want. *grin*




Step 3:

While your pointer is over that sprite, right click and a small menu should appear. Left click on 'copy.'




Step 4:

Now go to your Paint program and right click on Edit. On the small menu, left click on Paste.



And you have now captured a little Raiden.



Be warned, you might not see it but there is a white box all around him that you will need to crop out before you can use him in a komic. It's a pain to do in Paint that's why I highly recommend a image program of some sort. You can find a list a free ones to download in one of the stickied threads.

Now let's say you want/need a bunch of sprites at once. Just do steps 1 and 2 but instead of Step 3 just hit 'Print Screen' on your keyboard.



Now just go paint and go ahead and do step 4.



And now you have a bunch of Kung Laos...



I hope this is some use and I can't stop recommending getting a image program of some sort. I'm presently using a Photoimpression which I got free with my scanner, but I'm am looking around for a new one to hopefully cut down on the blurriness.
