Good job! I like your idea and I think its a nice touch to have the classic MK2 screen in there. You can definitely practice more to polish the quality.

Well, you gave us what you described...
The quality of the MK2 Game Over screen isn't that great, so it doesn't blend well with the better-quality MK9 image of Kung Lao.
Also, the idea's not that impressive, I mean, there's no editing that I can see, no changes, no personal touches, it's just the MK2 Game Over screen with Kung Lao slapped over it. There's really not much more to say about this.
