Whoa, you weren't kidding when you made his arms bigger in comparison to the other things :-O.

Anyhow:
I know they are his main feature, but that doesn't necessarily mean they should be focussed on, infact, they look kind of ridiculous, lol.

I like your detail to his chest, and his costume. His costume is most likely my favourite part of the picture.

As for his head, it doesn't feel like Jax, particularly in the face.
Also his Tonfa, well, I think it should be a bit longer at the end he is holding it, it kind of looks like it's just a bent piece of metal, instead of a handle type object.

Not a bad attempt though smile.

Hmm... well I believe this is somewhat better than your previous submission. Its really a personal choice, whether or not you like disproportioned drawings. Myself, I was never a big fan, but then again some people I know are fans of that. I can see what your saying, Jax's trademark is his strength, and more recently his bionic arms. The arms themselves aren't bad, but I don't like how you colored his hands dark, since the rest of the drawing isn't colored I'm not sure why you did that. Also, the way the arms connect to the shoulders appears a bit odd to me. But other than those things, you did a nice job with the arms.

I do agree about the head though, doesn't remind me much of Jax. The sunglasses were a good addition but the main reason it doesn't look like Jax I think is because the head is shaped oddly. I suppose it goes along with the disproportion idea, but usually Jax is a large character all around, and this small head isn't reminscent of him. Also, he isn't bald, so that may be another reason.

I like the chest details though, and the camo pants. The costume is pretty well thought out, even the feet aren't bad. The muscle structure is actually quite good on the chest, I quite like it. The abs seem a bit 'wavy' but that's really a small observation, because they sre still fairly well drawn. The tonfa was a good idea, and a nice touch but it could use more depth. Also, seeing the full set of tonfa would have been cool as well. But, this looks nicer than your other submission I remember, still I'm not a fan of out of proportion art. But even so, this is pretty good.

haha that actually made me laugh smile those big ass musles in your Jax Sketch was a good addtion it gives him that "cool look". Jax clothes and face looks like a JI Joe, nice details, good job.
Thanks for your comments, I'll keep them in mind the next time I draw.

Peace.

About Me

Why care about people if they're not bloody and on your carpet right now?

It's a very good revision, although the legs are off a little. 3/5.
Yeah, I know, short legs and big arms, that was on purpose.

Peace.

The anatomy kills the art. It doesn't matter if you did it on purpose, IMO, Jax's body structure destroys the rest of the eye candy detail on the arms, etc.
