It seems like everyone is doing fakes in wide screen these days. This picture looks good but I don’t think you fully understand what is required for the motion blur aspect. Sure the faded characters let us know that things are supposed to be moving, but Kung Lao is spread out way too far and his movement doesn’t seem fluid. If you’re going to have the sprites that far away perhaps add a directional blur so we can see that there is some FAST movement to go with the faded sprites. Also there are far too many Reptiles considering he is basically standing still in three of the five pictures he’s in. Maybe either less standing Reptiles would have been better or you could have just shown the head flying off on all of it’s motion blur goodness, anyways this is probably something you need to practice to get right and can’t really pick up by someone telling you what they think, so maybe mess around with a shadow kick move or a falling move where the sprite holds the one pose and you can experiment with the trail. Anyways keep working at it.

Its an OK fake. The background i dont really like. If your doing a fake its best if you create your own background since so many people have done fakes with these backgrounds and they arent very original. The kung lao sprite with the matrix thing going on is pretty good. I like how you faded the rest of the sprites to make it seem like its in motion. Same thing goes for Reptile. But the whole concept is unoriginal. You did a good job in it though. 3/5
