Did you just scan the picture in and make it grey scale? (grey scale is leet for black and white, I can't talk like a normal person).

If you were good enough you'd draw a picture of your own and not from the manual.

True, but those artists didn't copy a picture of a person or object that was already painted and try to pass it off as their own.

well, i have this picture, and comparing the 2 i am 95% sure that you traced all of this but the face, you did add a little shading though, but the face is not good at all, and the hat is misproportioned. THe shading is not that bad you did add some things here and there but, not enough, sorry.

No, not even close to the same. Have you ever tried a portrait or still life or any work of that type. Taking something from real life and putting it down on paper is a markedly harder job than taking an image or even a full color photograph and copying it. In the latter, it's already presented in 2D form, all you need to do is duplicate what's already there.

Anyway, yes you drew this yourself but that really isn't much of an accomplishment here. Be creative, come up with your own design or even just your own pose with an existing design.

Originality eh. You get told off for not being original enough and i get slated for getting costumes wrong (and drawing badly, to be fair )

Copying is good for learning stuff. If you want to be seen as original whilst getting proportions right and that, find another pose of someone completely different in a magazine or something, (i OUGHT to do this but i dont BTW) trace their shape and stick an MK costume on them, and change their face a bit - et voila!

Maybe it is not really original because it is the same like the MKG render, but the hand drawing is good. I'd like to see some of your own or creative concept. Pretty sure they are good.

Whoa, 14 days to draw someone else's idea. You need to analyze your process. Unless you mean 14 days, 5-10 minutes a day.

And I do think it's worth more than half a dragon. You'll notice by your overall score most everyone else thinks so too. Everyone has their own opinion so take them all in stride Ahmad.

Meh, it's alright. The drawing it'self is practically flawless and I couldn't do any better. but the main thing as said above many times is that it is from the book. so it isn't really as original as you could make it. Now that you have showed us your skills, show us your ideas.
