If you use something like flash, or Director you could put some sound effects in it.

I have a program that let's me copy all the sound effects from mame games. They are all Arcade Quality.

That's where I get the sounds for my fakes.
Check the Test your might game, and the pit 2 animation in my sig.

I edit the sounds with Premiere and Sound forge.

To make music loops and alter the sound effects.
