The blurred backgrounds aren't looking good for this fake, and Ermac needs to be lighter. Other than that, it's great.

But actually I think it's a nice and simple enough fake. The background really is a bit weird and out of place, it looks like a bad attempt at creating a heat effect or something. EDIT: On the subject of the definition of a fake... You know, plastic surgeons didn't make Micheal Jackson look like an alien on purpose. It's not called imagination, it's called mimicking reality. It's supposed to look real. Just sayin' though.

It looks cool, the effects are nice, but I have to agree with Ryu, nothing interesting is happening.

I'd like to add my 2cents about what a fake should be:
Like bill y maddison once said "I colored the duck blue cause i never saw a blue duck"... same w the fake! u make Kitana shoot blue waves out of her ass cause u never saw her do that... I think thats the point of a fake, to see what the game could/should look like to any extent, so if MK actually had depth blur and lightin effects, that is what it would look like.

Very true, it's hard to know when you've crossed the line, but of course an mk fake should never be displaying something that actually happens in the game. That's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying it should look real, which is a completely different thing.

I have a saying... NO GUTS no GLORY... and to this fake it means nothing is happening. Except for the blurred bg and the lacking effects that wash the whole thing out. Make some action.... It happens to just be boring to look at.
Nice attempt but it just doesnt do it for me...
