That's pretty wicked, m_k_x.
But, I dislike the way the image width is.

Okay, the fatality effects are great, but the voodoo doll has been done before by VenoMark I believe. You can hardly see the voodoo doll anyway. I think putting the trees growing inside of a building was pretty stupid. There really is no sense to that. Yeah, I don't like the width either. I also don't like how Kung Lao's health bar is backwards, the big assed dragon logos and the mugshots. The shadows are done well, and like I said before, the fatality effects are great.
Okay, well the fatality itself is pretty nice, but alot of the basics have been changed. As others have mentioned, the images width is far too wide, and really I don't see the need for it since all it does is allow those trees to be included. The standard size for a fake pic is 395, 254. Props, sprites, etc. look best when they are in an image of this size, and there is no need to alter the size of any of them. There is just too much space this way, your lifebar set up is too loose. Kung Lao's lifebar is opposite of the way it should be as well. You had to change the size of the win tokens, which are too large now. They don't seem to well positioned either, they should be at the very ends of the lifebars, and closer together than you have them as well. No timer? I don't think the character pics are really neccesary, they would give you alot of space by getting rid of them if you were to redo this fake at the standard size. The names text should also be inside the lifebars as well. Shadows are very good though, I like Liu Kang's shadow, because you seem to have given the effect a shadow as well. Anyhow, the basics are a bit altered, and usually there is no real need to do that.
The trees.. yeah I agree there really is little point to them. As I said above, they only add extra width to the fake, which is needed. I do notice a slight 'fog' effect around, which is a pretty nice addition I guess, still it doesn't go with the MK1 background very well.
The fatality itself is very nice, I quite like the effects you used. Venomark did do the 'voodoo doll' fake sometime ago, but it was somewhat different than this. You should work on the doll though, it looks too dark, and its hard to make out many details. The Kung Lao sprite's left arm seems somewhat shadowy as well. The attack Shang Tsung is using looks great though, the color is pretty even, which is nice I suppose. It could be a bit brighter near his hands, just to show that the energy is radiating from there.
Your edit on the Liu Kang sprite is wonderful. The facial expre-ssion is perfect here. The way you used half a a Liu Kang sprite, and then used part of the skeleton sprite was brilliant. The point where they connect looks good as well, its well blended together. I also like how he is being raised off of the ground. Anyway, other than the image width and a few other basic things, this is a great fake. The effects are superb, good job.
