Damn you Suit, always coming up with good yet short storylines that wouldn't take up a page or suck like mine. Have you always been good at writing, or do you take a while to come up with those (storylines)?

It doesnt take much time to create a creative story, I really hope Johnny Cage has a better story in the next MK instead of the snobby rich moviestar.

Bio continuation:

Kitanna confronts JC after the murders he just commited but pleads that it was self-defence and had no other alternative. Kitanna believed JC was lying, sickened by his dishonesty she attacks him with full force. Kitanna was fighting JC as if he were some kind of threat to Edenia. JC didnt know if she wanted to kill him or just immobilize and imprison him for further punishment. Tired of talking down Kitanna JC fights back. At that same moment he is being spied on by Kung Lao. JC's rage got the better of him, he pulled moves that would be considered illegal, dirty. Both Kitanna and Kung Lao at that point were fully convinced that JC has turned sides. JC won the fight but did not finish off Kitanna. Kitanna yelled threats while laying lifeless on the ground saying she would send all her troops to end his life. JC didnt want to die, especially for some misunderstanding. Nothing he could do would change Kitanna's mind, he still had some unfinished business in Outworld and if Kitanna's guards were after him, it would become much more difficult. JC kills Kitanna and seeks Raiden for aid, he is no where to be found.

I had kitana almost dying during a period in which evolved mutants are threating earth. It's a long story that I never typed up. Since me typing it up is still a possibility, I'm not going to spoil much should I post it with some art work.

I agree the face looks kind of odd i think its because his nose and lips are really close together, any way I am glad to see you actually drew your favorite character, i was woundering why you hadint yet, his form is perfect, as always.

I like this alot, for the story and the drawing. Commenting on the drawing, I have to say you did a very good job. I enjoy the pose because its something different from normal poses, its flashy and such as I would expect from Johnny Cage. I like the fact that you kept his nunchuku style here as well. The hair is nice, it seems light, well drawn. The face is alright except for the forthmentioned comment about the nose and mouth, perhaps they are a bit close together, then again it could be the head's angle that gives it that effect. I also remember the comment about all your characters faces appearing the same, but I can say this one does not.

The costume is pretty good, reminiscent of his MKDA attire. Its all very well drawn, and the added creases on the pants give it a nice texture. The details on the rope are good, especially the tassels at the ends. I also like the great detail you put into his shoes, the laces and tongues look perfectly formed.

As for the story, its brilliant, far better than anything the MK team has ever though up for him. Involving Cage in the actual storyline is something I've been hoping to see for quite some time. Very creative way you've done this. Very nice Cage concept.

On another note, as some of you may have or may not have noticed I haven't been replying to the more recent fanarts as I have in the past. The simple reason for this is that I'm not so sure its all that appreciated or well-respected. Not usually from the artist, but from other users. I don't appreciate it much if people think I respond for any other reason than assisting the artist, therefore I stopped commenting period. I responded here because this drawing sparked my interest, I have not yet decided whether or not I will be commenting on every submission anymore.

I know what you mean by artist not being respected, Crow. Im tired of this place and how peoples work is so easily critized by assholes when they, themselves cant create shit. Most of the drawings Ive seen deserve a great score because of creativity but instead they get a lousy score because they nit-pick every fucking thing. Who fucking cares, if its original then I would be more than gladly to give them a five. The last drawing Ill submit here is a photo of a painting I created a while ago, its a picture of a corpse and that'll be the last of me unless I change my mind.

If you can't take criticism, even if that criticism can't be backed up, then you shouldn't be an artist. As long as you like it, it shouldn't matter. Art is about pleasing yourself, not other people. If you're in this business to get praise, get out now. Try being a model or actor, instead.
I'd expect to be flamed after that last comment, Suit, expecially since you're probably the most highly regarded artist here.

Im talking about every artist on this forum. You've been here for quite some time so you know most of the artist around here. They submit drawings here that are in my opinion very creative and original yet they get yelled and flamed at because people think quality is better than originality which is completely untrue. I just wanted to say that some things can be ignored and thats what Ive been doing but after doing it for so long you get tired of it, kind of like a job.

First the picture. You really haven't changed his concept much from MK:DA. He's got some tassles and probably more tattoo's. Still has the door-knocker belt buckle. wink The only problem I have with his face is he looks a bit young. Johnny is starting to show his age a bit. (Not quite as bad a Sub-Zero)

Story is a good change for Cage. He was pretty lacking in the last game but honestly I enjoyed it in MK:DA. I viewed him as the "comic relief" character. "The Jist of my Fist" is just hilareous as was all the other things he was involved with.

If they wanted to move him away from that, a wanted man is a great idea. Only problem is it would mean Raiden would be out of the picture again. Can't have that. Good job.

Take it easy

This is good drawing but not a very original concept. You should have tried to make him more different looking than simply mixing his MKDA look with his older one. The story is cool, though.

The_Suit, I strongly sujest you to ignore the ratings if it bothers you. Some of the art here do get crappy ratings when they obviously deserve a better score. That's because some people like being dicks and give others 0s just for fun, and there's nothing we can do about it.

As for the criticism, this should actually help you improve. Unles it's a stupid reply like "this sucks". That, of course, won't help you at all

I know this is your decision but I would just like to say that I appreciated your comments very much and I am sure other artists here also.

Wow, this has to be the longest message I have ever written here...

graet drawing the best of Johnny Casge in thw web(he is my fav character).
It's very rare see a japanese be a Mk fan, especially for a super americanized character like Cage.
I like also the style very close to manga, but NOT manga(at least the face).
I really like it.
However i want to spent also two words about the scroing:you're right Suite.
There's a lot of good works in this forum but they get low scores for stupide reasons;and some many times the artist is offended by others that can't do anything....
