I like the Background. 8/10

Man that is a beautiful fake. I like the background, and the Kung and Liu sprites look great!

Well, here’s a fake that is actually decent to look at. However, it still screams average to me. Here is my review:

Background: Overall the stage it seems very MK-ish even though it seems too be a little unedited.. But that’s ok I guess since it feels like a MK stage.

Idea: Well, even though its just a mid-fight scene I guess it makes sense even though it’s boring.

Effects: Well, they aren’t Photoshop effects for the most part and it seems that they are actual attempts to make some decent looking spit. The BG effects, though questionable are actually nice little touches to the BG.

Editing: Well the Kung Lao sprite looks pretty good even though the design doesn‘t really fit him. Nice little edits though. Kang’s edits aren’t as good as Kung Lao’s because his shirt doesn’t look like a cloth, in fact it looks like vinyl or leather or something. Alright editing, but nothing spectacular.

Overall: The life bars are a nice touch and the font looks alright. Good job on that. The whole fake isn’t that bad but it’s just the lack of little, smaller details that make this fake average.

Now THIS is what a fake needs to be.

The Stage seems PERFECT for an MK game, and your editing is nice.

You have great shading technique, but Kung Lao's pants kind of doesn't seem a bit right, no big deal though.

Kang's shirt isn't as good, and doesn't seem right.

The lifebars actually look good besides the MK2 text, but the timer seems crammed in.

Press Start and 00 Wins stand out just a tince too much from the other elements.

The blood and sweat spewing out looks too faded out and blurry.

Oh, part of Liu Kang's foot is sticking a bit off the bridge.

However, this fake is really great. Keep up the good work!

Very nice, I love the background. Real dark and spooky looking. The sprites are nice too, Kung Lao's pants look nice, it looks like you custom did those. Liu Kang reminds me of his look from MK4, but he looks cooler with that black tanktop instead of a red one. The text and lifebars look perfect too, looks like an actual game shot. Keep up the great work, I want to see more stuff from you.
