1 - Background makes no sense whatsoever. It skips between backgrounds randomly.

2 - The bucket is really bad. No shading at all.

3 - The custom Sub Zero is alright. I guess that's the bast you could do with that ice wave thing in Paint.

Get The Gimp. I can't stand looking at these fakes made in Paint.

That's a lot of dots.
I've seen better ice effects (probably needless to say), even done with paint, funnily enough.
Anyhow, the fake is better than most your others, so that's a plus.
However:

- No shadows
- That background, not quite the movie scene. Needs to be darker, the stairs etc.
- As I'm sure you can tell, the props you did yourself look pretty bad.
- And of course, the ice particles.

Anyhow, keep going with them.
Make sure you include everything, use that "opinions on how fakes should be done" thread, and just go down the list .

Wow, that is a hell of a lot better than that one dude's MK Annihilation fake.
However, this could use a lot of work, like Sub-Zero's "ice field" and the HOLES IN LIU KANG'S ARMS. How could you not see that man? Now that is just being way too damn lazy. The buckets don't even look like friggin buckets. They look like weights with a MK logo on it. The stage is pretty good, but you should have colored the dragons to make them look like they are stone and part of the background.

This isn't that bad I guess, still it could use quite a bit of work. First, the background isn't good at all, it switches from one BG to another about halfway through. This makes the stairs appear uneven, it seems like you just copy/pasted an assortment of pieces together to form this. The idea isn't bad though, you were on the right track. But look at the stairs, you can tell where the individual pieces were placed. If you do a bit of editing it would reduce that look I believe. Also, making them all one basic color would be a good idea as well. You could have did better with Paint alone, but this isn't a bad attempt really. And add some shadows as well.

The sprites are ok actually, the 'polar blast' looks decent, but I have seen better with Paint. Of course, if you had another program, adding some sort of effect to this would be needed. But the ice particles do thin as they head toward the edges of the ice area itself, which is pretty nice. Fix the transparency with Liu Kang though, its easily noticed. Also, this attire isn't what Kang wore in the movie.

The buckets really aren't that good, the one solid color you used for the handles isn't so great, you should try a larger range of colors I think. And the 'pole' should be dimmed somewhat, it stands out a bit from the rest of the prop. But, for your first attempt at a movie scene, it isn't so bad really, good attempt.

It gets an imediate zero because you didn't take care of Liu Kang's transparency. For me, if you're too lazy to take care of that, then you dont deserve nothing more then a big bright zero.
As for the rest of the pic, the bg is simply terrible. It's absolutely confusing, and it doesn't resemble the movie bg at all. Did you actually edit the props you put together to make the bg, besides those absolutely fantabulous buckets?
The ice particles are OK... though, you still could've done MUCH better, even with nothing but Paint.
So, if you had taken care of Kang's transparency, you would've gotten 2/5 from me. But, since you didn't, you get 0/5 .

I also noticed that you didn't take out the transparency in your avatar. It looks terrible.

EDIT: When you make the remake of this fake, try editing the sprites to make them look like the movie's. eg: Take away Liu's headband, make his pants fully black, and give him a nice shirt with no sleeves.

Erm, I hope that wasn't an attack of retaliation from what he said about your pic.

It's true you have a transparency on Kang.
Zentile's sig has that white behind the text as it is the text outline, and as the text is considerably small, the white is close enough together to form a "background" of some sorts.

If that was in retaliation, then that's really pathetic.
