I guess i can let out some info, as most of you'll might have already thought of it like our friend Shadaloo here, resurrections seemed pointless, knowing the fact that the character would lose at some point to a tougher character or equal to the likes it faced before it submerged to the grave. The good thing about this is that the fan/user enjoys this time and hopes that their character gets another shot at the title, but it wouldn't last for long. But it's nice to let the user know that their character was the chosen one to be resurrected by us judges, and they should feel appreciated for being selected amongst the buried souls.

Basically after reading the quote i quoted for Round 4 of the Semi-Finals,you can guess that Resurrections are gone for good.

The reason i chose to keep resurrections in this edition, was the fact that Mortal Kombat is well known for out-of-the-blue resurrections, like Johnny Cage,etc. And also, i chose to keep it, was the fact that i wanted to continue the tradition from the 1st tournament. Since i was changing tournament styles, since 1 and 2 are much different, i wanted to see how the second tournament would handle the resurrections. But now we know, it's not much of a help, but only to some people it gives them a little joy for the time and effort they put into polishing the characters they have created.

Now we're going to be heading towards the 3rd tournament soon with a heavy filled lineup of characters. Comparing the 1st tournament of characters to these ones is totally different, comparing the whole tournament itself to the 1st, is also a whole new world.
I'm sure everyone appreciates and recognizes the 2nd tournament setup, comparing it to the 3rd would be a bit different again.
There will be new elements modified to create a mood for you the user to enjoy and feel the tournament with everything that goes on.

Since i had hinted before in the Story Thread, that users will nowplay a bigger role, rather than just wait for votes like previous tournaments and create your character. I hinted to the story thread which is part of what i meant to say, the other part is something cool.
This 3rd Tournament, will be a tournament that might look much more successful than both tournaments put together. My goal for the 3rd tournament is to bring a presence of an environment to the users and characters. This is the beginning of a new tournament, and i'm sure there'll be plenty more advancements in the future to come.
Once we have a basic idea of the many setups, we can choose which tournament style best suits MKO, by mixing and matching rules or having them as separate tournaments itself.
