Hello my fellow MK fans. I hinted at an idea for Sindel in a future MK game
in XD's Disgruntled KItana Fan thread, however it was said to be a stupid
idea by the infamous thread and mood killer, Chrome. However, I still feel
my idea had some legs to it and therefore I was almost instantly inspired
to start writing this story. I will be posting the first portion and updating as I
finish the other parts of the story. Don't worry Tom! I'm still going to write
that Vorpax/Taja story, this one just seemed to pop up out of no where and
if I don't get it out on paper I'll lose my inspiration to follow through on it..
As with my Vorpax revenge story, please leave constructive feedback, but
by all means leave the silly bullshit and utter rudeness at the door.
Oh, I need to mention that I have paired Kitana with another MK character
in this story, as I am not fond of her relationship with champion Liu Kang,
at least not in the games. I have paired her with Taven. They make a much
better couple than she & Liu, who can't even be in a relationship with Kitana cause of his obligation to Earth. So, Kitana has moved on. YAY!

It was another glorious day within the Realm of Edenia, now more prosperous and plentiful than it had been in a very long time. The Edenian people were happy once again, living out the peaceful existence that they were denied ever since the invasion of Shao Kahn. Kitana had made the restoration of Edenia possible, but why then did Sindel still feel so empty inside?
Within the massive architectural wonder that is the Edenian royal palace, Queen Sindel stood within the palace throne room peering out of one of the large paned windows with a semi content smile. The throne room was an elegant space made of marble and consisting of three golden thrones, the throne in the middle noticeably larger than the other two, and more elaborate in detail and design. Sindel gazed out of the window down to the grand courtyard, spotting her lovely daughter Kitana and Edenia’s handsome protector Taven, taking a romantic stroll. The Queen smiled softly at the sight of the two hand in hand, how much they reminded her of herself and King Jerrod once upon a time.
“Jerrod” she uttered in almost a whisper as her eyes closed and a heavy sigh left her lungs. Sindel turned away from the window and strode across the marble floor to the trio of thrones, the train of her regal amethyst colored gown trailing behind her. She approached the center throne, her throne, although that wasn’t always the case, as its grandeur was first the sitting place of the Mighty King Jerrod. Sindel tried not to dwell on the past, but she could not help but think back to the day of Edenia’s invasion and watching her husband be defeated in combat, and slain by the Outworld Emperor Shao Kahn. Sindel suddenly became enraged and shifted on her feet, turning her back to the throne to let out a shriek of pent up anger and frustration as only she could, obliterating the many windows of the throne room.
A simultaneous gasp came from all those below in the royal courtyard as the loud sound of Sindel’s banshee scream and that of shattering glass caught their ears. Princess Kitana shot up from the bench on which she and Taven sat, looking off worryingly in the direction of the Palace. “Mother!” she exclaimed, and immediately began to race back to the Palace as Edenian citizens looked on in confusion. Meanwhile inside, Sindel had dropped to hands and knees, her head hung low as she fought back tears. “Damn you Shao Kahn! Even with you defeated I will never escape the eternal torment you have bestowed upon me. I may be alive and well today because of your sick twisted plans to conquer Earth Realm, but alas Jerrod is not.” Sindel spoke aloud, though no one was present to hear her words, or so she thought. “Words cannot express how grateful I am to have my lovely Kitana in my life once more, and to have my realm restored to its rightful splendor, but there is a hole in my heart that neither of those things will fill.”
Kitana then burst into the throne room, her bladed fans drawn and ready to defend her mother at any cost. Four armed female body guards flanked either side of Kitana, their eyes roaming the area, searching for any danger that may be present. Kitana refused to lower her weapons as she stealthily approached her mother and kneeled to assist her. “Mother, are you hurt?!” asked the Princess frantically. Sindel raised her head and gazed at her worried daughter with calm eyes. “No Kitana, I am not harmed. Not physically anyway” Kitana closed her steel fans and slid them into the convenient pocket sheathes of her boots.
The Princess raised her hand to signal the alert bodyguards of the false alarm to which they quickly bowed in acknowledgment and exited promptly. Kitana proceeded to help Sindel to her feet, wrapping a single arm around her mother’s shoulders. Taven entered the room some moment later, his gaze instantly drawn to the shattered devastation that littered the throne room floor. “Kitana, is everything alright?” he asked with considerable concern in his tone. Kitana smiled warmly in reassurance. “Everything is fine Taven, it would seem that my mother is simply in dire need of some rest. I shall meet with you later, I want to make sure that she’s taken care of” Taven bowed his head and stepped aside as Kitana and Sindel passed, exiting the throne room and making their way to Sindel’s chambers
