For some reason, I think the shadows should be behind the sprites, but good effort nonetheless. The Ermac sprite looks pretty cool. Especially the glowing effect. Nice job on that. The BG, I like the portal, but that should have been your main focus on the entire BG. You got pillars, and the floor is a bit redundant on every fake I seen. Though, I really doubt I could do a whole lot better.

Notice that the moon is on the oposite side (near the portal), meaning that the shadows would have to be infront of them, as he did so. Good job man, nice fake! 4/5

Hardly. Even though it is a decent fake, it is no where near the level to make Venomark or myself worry.

Advice: Don't make your edits so cartoony. Try to add some detail and more varying colors to add some depth.
