Sub-Zero ran over a pure glass building, running away from something. He looked back and saw them. The alien race known as Tarakas were invading the Earth. Sub-Zero put on his gauntlets, that had an ability to freeze objects with an icy blast. He froze one of them and kicked the frozen shell. He continued doing this, until there where only 2. He took care of one easily, but the other was captured by something. It seemed to him to be a laser hook.


He tried to follow, but it was moving to fast. The the Taraka stopped moving and fell, dead. A man like him stood by him, but bore a yellow suit of Cyber-Armor.


"Who are you?" He asked.

"My name is Scorpion, and I'm here to help you."

"I don't need your help."

"Fine. You WANT to get killed?"

"I can do things mysel---"

He was cut off by a huge Taraka marching toward them, with Cyborg parts and Laser claws coming out of his hands instead of Organic.

"My Name is Baraka. I am the king of the Tarakas."

Scorpion and Sub-Zero got into place for battle. Scorpion tried his Laser Hook, but Baraka was unharmed. Sub-Zero tried to freeze him, but Baraka shrugged it off. But suddenly, three large explosions burst off Baraka's back. A female suited figure jumped down. She bore a blue suit.

"Great, another hero!" said Sub-Zero.

"My name is Katana, leader of the Earth resistance."

"Whats going on here?" asked Scorpion.

"There is a legend, that in a three day event known as Mortal Kombat, all of the Galaxy's people will battle to the very end, where the people will die out. This legend is coming true, as a computer virus known as 'SHANG TSUNG" has invaded the other planets that WE aare planning a sneak attack. No one knows who is controlling S.T., but Mortal Kombat is coming."


Scorpion and Sub-Zero shook their heads.


--Kang's Hardware Store--

Sonya Blade was on her computer, looking at her email. She noticed a video message from her parents. She put on and her dad popped up.

"Sonya, if you are reading this, we are dead, killed by the invaders. We are sorry if we ever upset you, we are sorry. We love you."

Sonya almost fell down. Mr. Lou (note:I know I spelled it wrong, but It is more a modern spelling of Liu.) had made her stay at work during the Invasion of the Tarakas, and now, her parents are dead..

Mr. Lou came out and had a robe on.

"What are doing?" She asked to him.

"I'M fighting for my country."

Sonya followed him into town, and saw him beating on the Tarakas. But suddenly, they all heard a loud bang on the Earth.

"The Goros." Scorpion said.

Is Scorpion whining? Your dialogue immediately jumps from a formal speak to an informal whining almost like "OMG JUST LET ME HELP YOU!"




sounds VERY over-played and cliche. Firstly, it's not the country that would be taken over... hell in fictional MK they don't even go by countries. I think the word you're looking for is Realm, or Earthrealm. Maybe if you did something like "I''m fighting for the freedom of Earthrealm and my ancestors" or something.




Goro cloned himself? Scary. Not as scary as the entire Shokan race running towards them. Maybe that's what you were aiming for? Cloning is WAY too futuristic for the MK universe and your initial aim.

A few spelling and grammar mistakes tossed around in the Fan-Fic, all and all it could use A LOT of work. Quite a few factual errors, dunno if they were intentional or not-- like the Lou... which I don't see why you just don't call him Liu like it's supposed to be, unless of course he got his name legally changed on his Birth Certificate.

Oh no you don't understand, this is a futuristic reimagining. Srry.

so this future society changed the Tarkatans to Tarakas? seems.....lame-ish
