My Mortal Kombat Fan Video
ever since I got an unexpected sega genesis with mortal kombat for christmas back in 94 I was hooked. I loved the game and didn't even know it had blood in it but when I found out it made a great game even better.
Memories of scouring every magazine and asking people how to get Reptile are still fresh in my mind today, no other game had captured me like MK and me and friends would play it for hours on end while blasting the MK Album. Ive remained a huge fan to this day.
Anyways, I used to have a tv show on public access it was nothing special and we had to learn how to do everything ourselves (back before g4). Here is a skit that we made, I'm thinking of submitting it to gamespots MK Scream competition but I'm not sure if its good enough, what do you guys think of it?

I cant wait for armageddon, hopefully its 360 compat, but ill buy another xbox if i have to (old one fried)

o, it was retarded in so many ways...
Don't expect the scream to win the contest (if that's what it's for.) I can picture someone standing in a middle of a huge crowd and screaming it, scaring the shit out of everyone at a quiet moment. That's my idea of a winner...
And the fighting, I didn't really get the point in that. The excessive blood was alittle too staged (don't stop in the middle of a fight, or whatever, to vomit it) and unnecessary as well. Maybe a little spitting, and some around the face woulda been fine.
Also, again, I'd picture fighting around a big crowd (Jackass anyone?) where spectators are watching and getting concerned (or laughing; up to them) so it adds a nicer, funnier, more realistic touch.
Although, I like the directed camera angles, made to look like a short movie instead of a shitty 1-shot, camera made video. The music and sound effects are also a nice touch, they fit (and are timed) well.
Also, if this is for the contest, then you shoulda shown what a huge fan you were (room, posters, action figures, games, etc...) Instead of randomly stopping in the middle of something (an interview, or review?) to go out and fight eachother and vomit blood all over the place.
