Rain watches in awe as the Pyramid of Argus rises up above the ground, the battlefield remains silent until a warrior named Stryker punches Mileena and makes a break for the top. Rain rushes to the stairs while taking down anyone who got in his way. The warrior pulls his blade out of a combatant and throws him down the flight of stairs.

Rain gives off a chuckle as he continues his battle to get to the top, the ninja stops and raises both his hands in the air and summons a blast of lightning that strikes a group of warriors sending them down to their deaths creating a clear way to the top for Rain. Upon taking the last step the warrior looks down and lets off a few more lightning strikes to the pitiful souls that couldn’t make it. Giving off a evil laugh the prince turns around to face Blaze. "LET MORTAL KOMBAT BEGIN!!" The giant yells his words and swings his fist towards Rain but misses.

Rain ducks the elementals attack and dives behind him to swing his blade against his back, upon slashing the creature his burning blood splashes on Rain causing him to drop his sword in pain and surprise. Blaze turns around as Rain drops his sword and delivers a kick to his chest sending the warrior sprawling across the arena. Rain lets out a gasp for air as he hits the ground, the fire elemental lumbers towards the Prince and swings his fists against the ground only to hit a puddle of water.

Rain dissolves in a puddle of water as Blaze strikes towards him and hits only solid ground, the combatant reappears several feet away from Blaze feeling refreshed as ever. Rain places his hands together and unleashes a jet stream of water against Blaze, the water splashes against the fire elemental causing him to roar in anger. His body sizzle as the water hits him and melts into a puddle of lava. Rain closes his eyes and prepares for his godly gift thinking that he had one.

Little did the prince know that Blaze did a similar trick and forms out of another puddle behind Rain and bashes his two powerful fists against him! Once again Rain is punished by his lack of noticing his surroundings and crashes against the ground. The prince unleashes a jet burst at Blaze once again only to get blasted by a ball of fire.

Rain gets blasted by the fire and disappears into the water to heal himself, seconds later Rain appears by Blaze and strikes him in the chest with his fists and feet. The elemental shrugs off the attacks to pick up Rain and toss him to the ground, the warrior growls in anger and jumps up into the air and pummels the elementals face repeatedly until his hands cry in pain from the heat of his flesh. Blaze laughs and continues his punishment on the purple warrior and bats him across the arena.

Rain once again gets batted by Blaze and crashes to the ground, the warrior looks to his side and sees his elegant weapon and crawls to grab it. As he makes his way to his sword, the elemental charges towards him. Blaze rolls into a ball and attempts to ram into Rain but rolls over a puddle of water. The elemental stands up and turns around ready to face Rain but does not see the fighter, "YOUR POWER IS MINE!!" A voice echoes from atop the sky as Blaze looks up to see Rain with his blade outright fall to the ground sending a deep gash alongside the elementals body.

Blaze holds his face in pain as Rain lands on the ground, the warrior bends down and slashes at the giant’s legs causing him to roar in pain once again. Rain jumps up into the air and lands on the other side of Blaze and uses his storm sword to set up a series of slashes against the elementals body. Blaze turns around and swings his fist but at a slower speed then usual due to the loss of blood and concentration, his massive arms miss the fighter greatly and Blaze stumbles around.

Rain grips his sword handle and rushes towards Blaze and slams his sword into the giant’s chest and spins around to slam his elbow into the hilt causing the weapon to burrow deeper into his flesh. Blaze stumbles backwards as he tries to get a clean grip on the sword, Rain grins as he blasts the elemental with water to prevent him from taking out his sword. Blaze gets blasted with the water but doesn’t scream due to lack of energy and blood, the elemental realizes the time has come for him and the half-son of Argus is about to defeat him.

Rain claps his hands together and raises them to the sky to unleash his final attack upon the fire elemental, clouds begin to swirl around the Pyramid and air smells of ozone from the crackles of thunder and lightning. Blaze looks up to the sky to see the clouds form and them looks down at his chest, the elemental quickly tries to pull out the sword as a large lightning bolt crashes down around Blaze.

The sword acted as a conductor as a series of lightning bolts crash down near Blaze, soon the sky unleashes a massive lightning blast that incinerates the fire giant instantly leaving nothing but a puddle of gore and Rains sword. The warrior walks over to his sword and picks it up, the blade crackles with charged energy as the godly essence flows inside Rain's body reshaping him to a full god. Both Taven and Daegon reach the top of the Pyramid to see that Rain had defeated their opponent, the now full god turns to face the two brothers and lets off a wicked smile before charging their blood with electricity causing them both to explode.

Rain lets off an evil laugh as he kills both sons of Argus; the warrior walks to the edge of the Pyramid and looks down below to see other combatants. Rain raises his hands into the air and soon causes a massive storm which floods the crater killing many, those that the flood did not kill Rain had finished them off with a series of lightning strikes, all that was left was Princess Kitana.

"Princess...you will be my bride or you will die, pick and choose...now!" Rain chuckles at Princess Kitana as he strokes a lock of her hair, Kitana looks around at the destruction left by Rain and faces him, a tear rolls down her cheek and she looks into the gods evil eyes "I would rather die Rain...then be with you" Rain gives Kitana a look of pity before stabbing her in the heart with his sword.

Argus walks down a corridor in the palace of Edenia, the new elder god looks upon the walls and his face filled with sadness. Argus soon reaches the kings chamber and bows to Rain, "Son...when I saw that you had defeated Blaze, I had praised the elder gods that you had honored me and filled me with pride...but now you have filled me with disgust. You killed your brothers and enslaved Edenia...this is not what I wanted to happen!!"

Rain looks down at his pitiful father and laughs, "You are no longer my Father Argus!" With a charged hand Rain unleashes a powerful blast of lightning that turns Argus to ash. Rain lets out an evil laugh and gets up from his chair; he turns to his Generals and beckons them to come forward. "Shao Kahn...Onaga, set our sites....to Earthrealm."
