i think its a cool background. its the artwork of mksm when baraka attack wu shi academy. i like the green effect and the sprite of jax is cool. but the sprite of shang tsung could be better.

I really have to whip you people back into shape. This is getting out of hand.

First of all, your ratings are way too high for what you did. Your lack of editing is so high that I can tell exactly what you did (except with the background, because I don't know what in Hell that's supposed to be). I hate it when you people consider "editing" using PhotoShop filters and PaintShop Pro tubes. It's not editing, it's adding something to the image to make it look twice as good (which usually never works out) as it did before you thjrew in a two-minute cheapshot. Sure, you may have blurred something here and there, but any moron with a decent photo editing program knows how to blur.

The things you can do to improve are, for one, don't produce custom backgrounds if you can't make them. I hate creating custom backdrops because they have to be so perfectly in connection with the main attraction in the sprites. Secondly, stop using cheap tactics. Just because PhotoShop lets you take the easy way out on just about aspect of photo editing (which is usually the downfall of practically every image producer in the fake picture community), doesn't mean you have to let your laziness get the better of you. Don't worry, you'll eventually get better...if you don't end up like TheDarkDuelist (also known as, among probably dozens of other names, Slelica).

Since you put in some effort, I'm going to let you off without rating. I think it'd be best.

EDIT: Now that I've scanned the background a little, I just realized that you used what I've deemed as the "Murdoink Method". You copied a little floor prop from one of the MK installments and pasted it onto a photo. Terrible. You really don't deserve a rating after that. Lazy ass. Meh.

lol, thanks for the comments. I did get lazy with this one. I can edit sprites and make background from scratch, I just haven't done it in ages (and I only did one with sprite edits).




They are both better than this one I think, and I made these last year (I think..). I'm working on a new one now..

Justy, Justy, Justy. Ok, I don't want Venomark to be the only person that will actually give you a real review unlike others. "beatiful! 10/10".

I'll start with the life bars. They suck....In real MK the life bars would be checkered and also be transparent to the background, if you play MK3 you'd know that you can slightly see some of the background through the life bars, you should have taken the time to rip the life bars yourself, or at least found one's that are half decent.

Now I’m going to discuss how shang's soul steal looks completely lame, why? Because you put this fist into the fake, and it's not his own first... His top fist is hardly visible, is it even there? The soul is alright.. Nothing fancy, it's nicely done but it just doesn't look like you took the time and effort as you do into your other art.

Jax..What the hell did you do to Jax? I know you put MK3 top on. But what about his legs? The mk3 top looks like jax is turning at you and not directly looking at shang, it's just something I noticed...

The background is OK, you really didn't put much editing into it, you copied some MK2 wasteland props and added them with some Shaolin Monks images, not impressed. It does look nice though.

The blood on Jax looks retarded, it looks life a few PS brushes, nothing spectacular so the blood is getting a 3/10.

I also don't like how when the soul hit's jax, it completely stops. And it causes it to look like he's not really cut open or whatever you were trying to do.

You also didn't put any editing into the sprites, besides pasting MK2 legs onto Jax. So that also drives my attention level to the fake; away.

It's some eye candy if you ask me. I'm giving the fake a 6/10.

I didn't use any custom brushes for the blood, just the normal round one.
The soul is coming out of the hole in his body btw.. I just fucked up the hole..

Looks pretty cool. But Shang's fist looks out of place. The soul effect is neat. The MKII/3 mixed Jax is neat too.

I like the scenic background. A bit faded/hazy, but it's nice to see a different background.
