Why is this post full of flaming and negativity? There's a difference between constructive criticism and being a jerk.

Art is a unique piece that must be handled greatly- insulting art is like saying "my opinion is better than yours". There is no such thing as a right or wrong opinion, especially in art. Look at Picasso, and his 'interesting' artwork. Some call them outstanding, and are willing to pay millions of dollars for them, while some people think they're made by a mentally ill dog and wouldn't take a crap to get them. There is no such thing as "good art" or "bad art", there's opinions. Feel free to state that you disagree with an opinion, help somebody become a better artist. But their art is THEIR art, not anyone else's.

Getting criticized is one thing, being insulted is another. You calling him/her blind, deaf, and dumb didn't seem like constructive criticism, but more like just going off on them. Bringing up something like 'mom's fridge' doesn't seem like a very 'constructive' thing to say. You should try to bring people up, not down. You say you can post whatever you want as long it's not said in a rude or hurtful way, well, it just was said in a rude/hurtful way.
Why must there be so much negativity? It's not hard to be constructive over destructive.

First of all, my insults didn't start until this idiot accused me of calling his work "SHIT" and being "RUDE" when I never did. Not once. All I did was use his sprite as an example of bad shading. Is that such a big deal? Stupid question; obviously it is or else we wouldn't be having this retarded argument. Secondly, my insults are directed towards his idiotic accusations, not his artwork. So don't give me another bullshit "constructive criticism" speech.

So now I can't share my opinion about what ther people say and if I thinkit's wrong or not? Nah, just like you, I have my right to opinion. However, I choose to se mine in a bit more of a civil variation. I never aid I was a mod- I look at my Rank and see nothing more than an average joe. I'm just trying to encourage you to stop BEFORE a moderator steps in. Perhaps you haven't read the Faq. Flaming appears on the first page of the Faq. Flaming can be harassment via the MKO PM system, or constant written abuse towards another member. You don't have to agree with their opinion, but that doesn't mean you have to get angry that they disagree with you.

And, I don't see why rik did anything WRONG, wether it was insulting or not. Even if it was, it was in defense to a string of insults. And it wasn't on such a high scale as BS was doing it.
