This whole thread seems pointless. Why does it always take several responses to one half-assed statement over something stupid? You're only fueling it. I'm not sticking up for anyone, but he already apologized, so it shouldn't be an issue anymore.

As for stealing artwork, that's a lame thing to do. But keep in mind that all those fakes images you fellas make are created with copyrighted material, so you really can't complain. Lame, I know, but I've been in a similar situation.

Actually, I'm not new to the Forum, I've been here.....shit.... I don't know, since about..... fall of last year. Really can't complain? What in the hell are you talking about? You sound as if you are condoning stealing someone else's work just because the images are mostly midway. First of all, we are 'stealing' as this person has done apparently. We don't say, "Oh yeah, I made this all from scratch, Midway didn't have anything to do with it." Only a fool wouldn't know that these images are created from sprites and etc.. made originally by Midway. This person didn't give credit to someone who did the editing and had the idea, thats a whole other story and I don't feel like arguing with you.

As for 'fueling', what are you talking about? I don't see one flame anywhere on this page. You are really the only 'fueling' anything, as this is the fan art forum and you had nothing to say about the artwork anyway.

Anyhow, I see your point, the fakes are extremely similar, and the idea is practically the same.
Although, the fact remains that the two do look definately different, so I'm not so sure what to make of this.

However, I do know that BC is a member at Rok, so I would say the idea has been "copied", or perhaps "re-done", and I agree, credit should have been given.
And it is evident, that yours is better , lol.

OK, I've read just about enough from multiple parties here to warrant closing this thread now.

Look at how many posts in this thread give actual crits, and compare them to the flames. It's sad.

Yes, Black Cyborg should have given credit for the idea/concept of the fake.

Putting a signature of his own and then 'after "insert original concept artist here"' is what should have been done.

It is not an *exact* copy, as he did do work on it himself obviously, but still credit should be given and you really should have had the original fake artists permission before you even thought of doing this.
Explaining where you got the idea from at least would have been nice. This way it seems as if you are taking all the credit for yourself.

This is what is done in the professional Art world in publishing, and thus should be done here as well due to legal mumbo jumbo.

As well, there was no need for everyone to jump on the bandwagon either after Subraka was flamed.

That is what started this whole mess in the first place.
