Looks pretty good. Sprite edits are ok but the colour is a bit too bright for my liking. Particularly the one of Hydro. And I'm not really sure what Minus-zero is supposed to be holding on to as hes dying. Vindicare looks a little too Street Fighter-ish for me.
I like the bg edit u did, making the wasteland look all bloody-red and whatnot. It certainly does contrast well with the characters and makes them the clear focus.
Lifebars are good too. Not much else to say.

Well, the only issue with brightness I have in this still is the fact that there's a bright green outline around Venom's otherwise dark green apparel. I don't know how in Hell I missed that while editing it, but I did.

Hydro isn't "bright", like, at all.He's probably the darkest character on there. Minus-Zero's bright, but that's his own damn fault. He made a character that he modeled using segments of Sub-Zero and Cyrax, and I expanded upon that...to an extent.

The deal with Vindicare's terrible costume is more blacksaibot's fault than mine, but still, I could've changed the look. Instead, I remained true to his work (and trust me, it looks a lot better in the edit that he did than does mine), and I kind of despise myself for it. I'm trying to create an entirely different look for Vindicare in a four-man battle royale fake that I haven't worked on in what seems like forever, but the severe lack of motivation and interest has basically spurred me to chuck it altogether.

The background has a lot more originality to it than you've noticed. I'm surprised by how horrible I was when I made this how well it turned out. My second best background, I'd say.



Let's just say that when they both had forums of their own, I was the guy pulling in members. They got what they needed out of me--tons of respectable members and a tightknit rules system--and then shoved me off on my own way. I don't exactly hate them, and I still talk to Hyd on the odd occasion, but Minus-Zero is probably one with whom I would never associate myself. He used me far worse than anyone I've known--in recent memory, anyway.

This all happened...three to four years ago. Whenever MKIntensive...underwent technical difficulties.

I like the sprite edits that you did. The background isn't quite as good. I also agree with blacksaibot about the font, but other than that, I like it. 9/10.

You should really try to bring some new material to the table, instead of always milking your old work. I must've seen this piece and most of your recent postings at least 2 years ago. Not trying to be an ass, but it will gain you more credibility in the industry.

Hooked on phonics didn't work for me I honestly didn't learn how to read at the 1st grade level until the 6th grade, believe it or not.

How could you have most of the shit I've done been seen by anyone two years ago? I made this sometime last November, and I've only posted it once, now that I recall. But I do believe that it was to stop the bleeding induced by either one of your threads, or someone else's. And it did. I think my fake got more replies than the one that actually had the thread to its name. Humorous, really.

But yeah, the only thing I've posted that I've done over two years ago was my Gorge/Ravage fake. You know, the one you rated pretty highly. The one that keeps coming back to bite you in the ass every time you lie to yourself about the sheerly ignorant presumption that I suck, have always sucked, and all that. You're entertaining.

Anyway, I have been trying to generate some new shit, keep trying to get some work done on new fakes, completely custom sprites, but this forum just doesn't allow much in the form of motivation. I don't feel the need to defend my crown, because with all the trash that's been pouring in recently, regarding fakes and all those *shivers* comics, I feel I'm going uncontested. I wish I could just go back a year or so to the days when people like MaxDam got credited for work they'd never done themselves. Anyway I like this fake. Very well made but where are the lower parts of Minus Zero and Hydro? I don't like the timer's font.

Eh, yeah; I really didn't want to clutter up the image with too much, because the lifebars take up a lot of space, and the sprites themselves take up more space than anything. Initially, I had planned on inserting Minus-Zero's lower half and leaving Hydro's "off-screen," but I just didn't want this one to seem crowded.

And yeah, a lot of people hate the timer font. That's, like, the major problem everyone has with my fakes, but I think it fits very well with the image. Eh, I'm sure I'll be changing it in my next fake. I'm assuming the blurriness is what gets people to hate on it so much. Oh well.
