Better than any of BS's attempts that's for sure. A HUGE improvement over the original. Not sure why Goro is splitting but it looks cool.

I like it but Goro in general being in the image is an eyesore to me. It's his arms. It's bugging me. It's like I can't focus on anything else but his arms.

I like the fade from the Living Forest gass/dirt to the MK1 dirt but I can still see a line on the dirt where the two start/end. The trees from MK1 are pretty bad quality, not your fault, but it is for not trying do some of your own touch-ups. The grass from MK2 looks like the shit quality from MKWarehouse. There's a reason why I made you download MAME and the MK roms.

I love that new sprite pose you made for Shang Tsung. My only complaints is that you didn't edit the sleeve folds on his right (your left) arm. Also, his lower arm looks a little lonely. The hand position is fantastic, so it's a shame it isn't doing more than just glowing.

Great job splitting Goro open. Looks clean and just like if it belonged to MK2. I kinda wish there was more blood some where though.

The fatality itself is what I warned you previously about... over-done. But since originality wasn't your focus, you did a great job. I can't wait to see you finish your Skarlet sprite.

I don't like the soul steal special effects because I know you just got it from Google Images. I know drawing special effects by hand is a big pain in the ass... but it's worth it for consistency's sake. I myself am trying to get away from those "cheap" techniques. I want you to stop doing it before it becomes an addiction.

Anyways, back on topic. This is Mortal Kombat 1 on steroids. And it's kicks ass. Super improvement from the last one and great edit on the Goro ala MKII style. Nice touch on still making the stage feel like MK1. Overall, an awesome fake pic but hold on, let me see UltimateRyu's soul steal fake. Oh, there isn't one. You win. Fatality.

Awesome fake. I've always had a liking for Shang Tsung soul-steals.

The sprites are well-chosen. Good to see you do some editing on Shang's pose. I really like the soul-steal effect you used as well, it has a "magical" quality to it.

The background is very nice, especially given that it has an MK1 style to it (since you used mostly MK1 props). I could see this being something like a "bonus" stage in the first game.

The idea is good; like I said, I'm a sucker for Shang Tsung soul-steals. I also like that Goro is cut in half prior to the soul-steal; it makes me think that a warrior as powerful as Goro needs to be brought down quite viciously before his soul can be taken. It reminds me of a fake I made a while ago where Shang had to cut Motaro open first before stealing his soul (yes, shameless plug, haha)
