MK Creative Staff could introduce new female Kunoichi Ninja characters that would have a similar look to Ibuki from Street Fighter except that the characters would have a sleevless gi and undershirt to conceal her neck and chest region and then have a clothed mask to cover the lower part of their face, instead of having the veil styled mask or they could be unmasked to showcase their beautiful face, whatever makes more sense aesthetically . And finally, the would wear a set of loose fitting pants that would have a sort of ballooning effect and a thick sized sash to be wrapped around their waist.

The Kunoichi ninja characters can be from the Shirai Ryu ninja clan of Scorpion as lost survivors and Lin Kuei Kunoichi ninja members in conflict.

For the Shirai Ryu ninja clan you would have:
Alibi, Black Widow, Frost, Poison Ivy, Black Mamba, Ricochet and Forage

For the Lin Kuei ninja clan you would have:
Artica, Orchid and Red Virtue

And then you could have mystery Kunoichi ninja warriors:
Pandora, Avion, Sephora, Pulchritude, Kureji, Sumiko and Obsidian Blue

Alibi - would have psychic abilities, Black Widow - would have sais and teleportation abilities, Poison Ivy - would have a retractable ninja sword,
Black Mamba - would have an electric whip, Ricochet - would have Kamas,
Forage - would have animal transformation and manipulation ablities.
Frost & Artica - would have ice manipulation ablities, Orchid - would have the ability to fuse energy with other elements, Red Virtue - would have short katana swords, Pandora - would have self - multiplicity abilities, and
Obsidian Blue - would have an unknown Black Arts/Magic ability.
Sumiko - would manipulate aspects of emotional state of love. Pulchritude - manipulate the human spirit, Avion - would be high class, Sephora - would manipulate grassroots evolutions and Kureji - would have an unknown mixture of Ninjutsu.

They all would have at least 9 specialty moves, backstories, X-Ray moves, fatalities, and personalities.

Thoughts?

They're could be other female characters but like I said the characters forementioned would be unique to the MK universe and have a plethra of moves, combos, X-Ray Moves, fatalities with their own unique flare and personalities to separate them in the midst of the game.

Thoughts?

Wouldn't be against a new female ninja warrior. And your description for the looks is pretty cool. But i wonder, would those characters really be guests: Orchid, Poison Ivy or even Frost? I don't understand.

Cuz i want a new character. No guest and if it has to be a new and original char, i would prefer if she had an original name. Different from the ones you mentioned there.

I'm a big fan of Orchid though. So if they really intend for a guest, why not.

The way that I have drafted them, they would be new characters. And although their code names wouldn't necessarily be never heard of before...they would be names indicative of their fighting styles and personas. Especially Black Widow, Poison Ivy, Black Mamba, Frost, Artica, Forage, Ricochet, Alibi, Pandora and Obsidian Blue.

I could start a thread giving a detailed description of these are more characters that I had in mind consisting of a complete list of specialty moves, X-Rays, fatalities, backstories, costume looks, and fighting styles.

I think they would have the potential to become some real standout characters in the video game. Hell even "Poison Ivy" could be render in a similar fashion to a female Scorpion just with moves from a retractable ninja sword and be from the same ninja clan as Scorpion the Shirai Ryu.

We already have red, yellow if you count Tanya, green, two blues, purple, and Khameleon, I don't think there's room for any more female ninjas.

With whom are you talking about? Tanya in yellow? Skarlett? two blues? a green...Jade? I thought she was a guardian for Kitana. Purple...Mileena?

I didn't necessarily think these women characters were ninjas as opposed to assassins. The characters I would introduce would be Kunoichi ninja character assassin that would use martial arts and miltary like precision and discpline to fight instead of seduction and provocative looks.

So they would contrast drastically from the current female assassin roster.

Another thing would be that the female characters would have a very traditional look to their costumes such as a ballooning/loose fitting pair of hakama pants tucked into their shins and a moderately fitting clothed mask covering the lower half of their face or they could be unmasked to showcase their beautiful face and then they could have a sleeveless gi with a moderate sized sash wrapped around their waist indicative of their colors or clan affiliations.

And their move sets would be completely different from what MK has ever seen making them stand out characters within the game. I think they wouuld have the potential to be as popular as Scorpion and Sub-Zero if introduced through DLC or hidden characters or if given a test run with the game's roster.

Kunoichi is just a foreign word quivalent of female assassin. By that logic we at least have 4 characters that fulfill the pop culture visual of what a kunoichi is.
Besides we have Scarlet, which is by all means a -pop culture- kunoichi.

The idea is already too late since MK2, and is completely redundant.

Btw, that is neither traditional nor historical. Or in any way accurate to what a kunoichi is.

Respectfully, I'd have to disagree with your view of the characters being redundant. If rendered correctly, I think the characters would be standout characters for the video game because of the following reasons...

If rendered correctly,
- They would have a respectful look to themselves and their costumes.
- They would have a fully defined move set unique to MK.
- They would have a unique moveset contrasting themselves from other established MK Characters.
- They would be plausible to the MK storyline with backstories that could be traced back to the MK2 plot with their affliations.
- They would have a moveset that would allow for follow up combos and air juggles unique to MK.
- They would have unique fatalities.
- They would have backstories which would explain their movitations in the MK series.
- They would have contrasting personalities.

It may be hard to picture or vision since I haven't posted any detailed descriptions of them but I think they're renders in the video game would be successful if given a chance either as a series of hidden characters or DLC characters in the game. Afterall these are just ideas to give the video game a fresh and new look. I'm pretty sure the more viable characters in a successful video game can't hurt and only enhance the gaming experience.

Except, out of the female cast, basically three characters had respectful looks: Ashrah, Sonya and Frost. Having their primaries (or for Sonya's appeal, her MK1 attire) barely showing anything that looked extremely revealing.

Sadly, according to the artists who design their costumes, they HAD to design a secondary outfit that reveal more skin and more of an outrageous look. Sonya, by having one of the most controversial costumes since there was a 750+ page that was about her outfit for when she debuted for MK2011...

The phrase "females having a respectful look" is somewhat frown upon in fighting game society. As there's barely any female character that looks respectable.

Though there tends to be people on this site who believes that fictional, created, polygonal characters can obtain the magical ability to steal another fictional, created, polygonal characters' move.

And according to them, originality in moves suddenly no longer exists in this game.

Esoteric Wrote:

As stated before, that would be impossible to perform.

Esoteric Wrote:

But didn't you hear? According to some fans, the writers butchered the story. There is no such thing as a plausible backstory that could work for anyone.

Meh, I got really nothing to say here.

Esoteric Wrote:

Nothing can be more unique than my favorite, Quan Chi's neck stretch.

According to some people, the writers who work on this game aren't capable of being that good to write such brilliant pieces of work.

They lack the ability to tell a good story.

Esoteric Wrote:

Besides the outfits, this is the other reason I won't be a smart ass about. Since each character appeared to have a different personality come to their parts in the story mode for MK2011, this wouldn't be too bad to see.

Well, there'd be other video games that have a more respectable look for their female roster. Examples would be Tekken, Street Fighter, Soul Calibur just to name a few.

I don't think it would hurt to have that as a primary look.

To be honest, I would like to see some of the female cast to actually dress decently rather than having just a bikini on. Come on, I certainly don't remember any kind of princesses in any movie looking like a belly dancer or someone who's supposed to be in the military look like something you'd find in the adult costume section at a Halloween store.

It wouldn't hurt to add a bit more clothing to the females that we have now.

Your ideas really are good for something to try out.

I can't with a straight face pretend that introducing more "kunoichi" characters is anything but redundant, unoriginal, and generally a bad idea. The fact that this got Dragon Points is...disappointing.

Shit why dont we just put the entire roster in ninja gi's and call it a day? Oh and before I forget...
For the Shirai Ryu ninja clan you would have: Alibi, Black Widow, Frost, Poison Ivy, Black Mamba, Ricochet and Forage
You can't be serious right? Suggesting an "ice powered ninja girl" named Frost in a game that ALREADY has an ice powered ninja girl named Frost? I think that says it all right there.

I've written a backstory for "Frost" that would explain her origins and affliations. To summarize, "Frost" would be originally affliated with the Shirai Ryu but due to her inexperience as a ninja warrior she would grow frustrated with her progress and go rouge eventually finding a new master in Sub-Zero in the Lin Kuei, sort of as a double affliation. Her relationship with Sub-Zero as his apprentice would be where she would pick up her ice-powered techniques, something that wouldn't be taught in the Shirai Ryu's teaching methods. Finally, after a brief and short term teaching session, due to her implusive yet impatient nature, she would break her alliance with Sub-Zero and return back to the Shirai Ryu in order to harnest what she learned from Sub-Zero. This would then give a credible motivation between the rivalry between Sub-Zero and Frost, along with the origins between the feud between Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu being as how Frost learned variations of sacred Lin Kuei techniques when in reality she would be an agent for Shirai Ryu. This would spark a war between the opposing clans with Sub-Zero and Scorpion at the forefront of the war. This would also loosely tie into the backstories of Scorpion & Sub-Zero from MK and it would also tie in the reasoning why Frost would bear variations of similar ice powered techniques as Sub-Zero.

Overall I think the backstory has relevance and has a logical/feasible plot that could possibly tie into the backstories of other established characters in the game without being too far fetched. It would explain the resemblence of the powers between Sub-Zero & Frost, the past rivalry between Scorpion and Sub-Zero and the rivalry between the Shirai Ryu & Lin Kuei. And overall, it would give rise to new characters to be introduced into the video game without twisting and drastically changing the plot.

Along with Frost, although she would have a similar moveset, she would have variations of Sub-Zero ice-power techniques that would be different enough for her to standout and set her apart from Sub-Zero.

All in all it just an idea but I think a really good idea.

I mean it's not that serious (although I had already clicked unfair) but thanks for mentioning the "fair/unfair" option.

Anyhow on topic, Chrome and Razor already stated the obvious reasons why this idea doesn't work so I won't beat a dead horse. Now if you excuse me, I'm off to write a detailed character concept of 11 new Black Dragon and Red Dragon mercenary cyborgs like Kano.

And I would like to add also that "Frost" isn't necessarily a "new" character creation, it was intended to revamp the existing character within the game with a new moveset and more detailed backstory of her origins and motivations.

I see. I guess only higher (true) mods get notification when someone clicks the "unfair score" button, that's why I wasn't aware that you had already clicked it.
