And if anyone tells you otherwise, they'er a god damn liar so you don't get your feelings hurt, or they just couldn't do half as good so they have to be impressed. They have no detail to them at all. It's as if you used MS Paint's paint brush and just colored shit in. It looks very crappy. I kind of like the stage in the last picture.

I'd stop using whatever you use to sprite editing and get a real photo editor so you can make them a hell of a lot better.

these are very nice for ms paint. kung lao, if you edited him in ms paint, its damn fine. but the jhonny cage sprite is one solid color, but still a good peice of work made in ms paint but there is little detail.

Hmm, I can't agree unfortunately, you can do loads more in MsPaint.

The quality of them is pretty bad, as BS said. They are mostly flat colours, and the shadow "effect" on Johnny is pretty bad.

Also add some shadows, check out the fake pics thread at the top of the forum.
Good effort, but realize that you can do an awful lot more in MsPaint than you might think.

Just for the record, 75% of my fakes were made in MS Paint and turn out 10x better than that. So this MS Paint excuse is worthless. You can do better, just practice on being more "realistic" (make it look more like an actual game sprite).

IMO...

Drop all the MKDA shit...like, get rid of the 'styles' on the bottom, the huge names below the life bars, and the pictures next to those names...if you were playing, would you want all that crap all over the screen? keep that stuff simple and small, out of the way...as for the pictures themselves...there is nothing really happening there....next time do something that is impossible...make up a new fighter (noob_sareena even) or take a hidden character or boss and put them against a standard fighter...just my opinion tho...you can do better, and I'm sure with time you will..

i got some others im working on, and the reason i have those martial art things and the pics is because i was mostly going for a mortal kombat: deadly alliance feel, though i never played it for a next generation system, only gba, i had to rely on screenshots of the game

Sadly, these fakes suck. You should really stop making DA edits if all you're going to do is make the 'additions' or 'edits' using ONE colour. I mean, look at the skulls on Scorpion's kneecaps in the first pic. VERY POOR. And what's going on with the Johnny Cage sprite in the 1st and 3rd fakes? That looks nothing like a shadow kick.

Keep trying. And put a little more effort into your fakes. Try shading with more than one colour. Look through a few threads, you'll see how to make shadows and dim the screen, thanks to Timsmk. And fer God's sakes, stop making backgrounds out of props.

Nicely said. I wish Magg can come back to the community so he can post some of his old MS Paint fakes and they weren't that bad, also MKRocket. The fake he used on a MS paint kontest over at MKW was very good.
