Alright, errrm, well, there's nothing really original about this design. This is Smoke's classic costume with some raggedy edits to the tail and some skulls thrown in to match Scorpion's overall look--which hardly fits Smoke's character. Perhaps there are some tattoos on his biceps, too, but I really don't know if those are even tattoos or veins or something.

I'm not sure why you threw in a fatality if the focus was on his design, but even the fatality isn't a new concept. Ripping out the skull and spine has been done so, so, so many times in the canon alone, it's ridiculous. The one aspect I did like, however, is the smoke trailing out of the victim's (Johnny Cage?) mouth. I'd like to see a fatality where Smoke enters into his opponent's body and destroys him from the inside out.

Its badly drawn

very badly drawn

Not alot of effort and precision put into it.

Now I see you used paint, but your not good with it and its really hard to make decent drawings with it, only a few people can do that. Its just a horrible program for doing these things, you might of had a good idea or concept but its too bad it looks like shit.
But the design/concept isnt new or original. It looks like Scorpion mixed with Quan Chi and yet everything seems wrong.

Is he holding a dick with a testicle. WTF

Overall is very bad, I dont know how you can look at this and be proud of it to post it as fan submission.

I mean I dont think you draw this bad, this looks like it was carelessly done and rushed and the idea behind it wasn't even good.

On the plus side, you could cel-shade this and it wouldn't look too bad in the world of the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. The proportions are almost spot-on.

Further explanations: now this isn't about the drawing itself, but as the subject title tells, design. He does not perform a Fatality in this artwork. I designed him to be more of a necromancer, Lin Kuei warriors are sort of necromancers after all (cryo-necromancers).

In this vision he obtains his smoke powers from his trophy skull of his guru that he is holding in his hand. He additionally has smoking skulls attached to his belt that he uses as projectiles. The body he is dragging is another zombie he killed in The Living Forest. Again, the focus in this drawing is not in the flaws but the ideas solely. Ideas that are new not old. I wanted this version of Human Smoke retain his ninja entity and not change him drastically i.e. making him e.g. shirtless.

I originally put a jagged cape for him to give you a greater feeling of his association with necromancy. It was similar to Dark Raiden's but it didn't fit for Human Smoke too well. Nonetheless, I hope some of you liked the idea of this edition.
