thats excellent, his face does seem older, and it does give him personality, shading is magnificent, it all looks realistic as if someone from midway made it! or a olden times artist, five out of five dragons!

My immediate reaction, similar to the above, was the face. It definitely looks a lot older than I'd expect for Rayden. He's a God, and has never really shown much in the way of wrinkles or aging.

Still, it's small enough a detail to be overlooked. You've got a great style, that's detailed without becoming cluttered. I'd have to agree with ~crow~, definitely some of the best stuff in very recent time.

I'd love to see more!

I'd definitely like to see some of the new designs you've done for existing MK characters. I've seen some great ones pop up around the place, always worth looking at.

Do you do sequentials?

This is superb work, I love it. I personally like to see different styles for MK characters, copying the same style from the game itself can get a bit boring and repetitive. The face is interesting, I've always viewed Raiden as a wise, intelligent god. The face here defiantly helps that look I believe, it has a very asian feel. I also like the details you put into his hat, especially how you have it connected to his head, rather than just having it sitting there.

The attire's detail is also wonderful. You captured the look and feel of the various ropes very well. The lighting on the plates is very well done, accents the details that are present. The way you did the shading is something that I like here, the fabrics all have great texture. The small details such as the rises on his hat, the asian writing, and the nice flow of the cloths make this perfect, 5/5 from me.

Shading isn't that hard, just force yourself to go really dark and then get one of those niffy eraser pens to place highlights..
Honestly I admire those that have the pacients to ink...I..hate...inking... Numbs my brain...=P

How long? Ummm two days, honestly once I get the sketch done its kinda all down hill... Getting the sketch is the hard part for me...

That is very but I mean VERY nice. You really got artistic skills. The shading, and textures are flawless. The only thing I don't like is the face like NovaStarr said, but this is something you hardly see on this board especially this kind of shading. Awesome job. Your avatar is cool.

Yeah I noticed the skulls. The cat drawings are really cool I think. The dancing cats was probably my favorite on the whole site. Made me laugh. I'm getting a new cat today that my brother had no place to put other than putting it down. That brings the total up to three and that pic reminded me of that. I've a feeling that they won't be dancing when I get home though.

The PC I'm sitting at took awhile to load the actual image galleries, don't know if that's what you mean.

OMG. If all art was like this, then I'd be the happiest man in the world. This is simply amazing. The details are absolutely perfect on Raiden's face, in his cloak and in the background. Wonderful.

Your Raiden drawing kicks ass!! I like the great attention to detail and the drums. I also like the info you gave us about that whole connection with Raijin and the drums. I give it a 5 out of 5.
