I like the reiko sprite. 4/5. Maybe edit Baraka aa little more.

I was basing it on his alternate, but it's so close to his MK2 costume that it sort of pointless even editing him in the first place.

And he looks like he's wearing Chuck Taylor's.

Now I don't know what to believe. Some say it's the only good thing, some say it's the worst thing.

Normally I would use MK3 Sub-Zero for Reiko, but I wanted to try something different and used MK1 Scorpion.

Both sprites look bad, and his shuriken look bad too.
Some say its good because they can't do any better. You look at your own fake, and ask yourself "does this look like it would really fit with the game or is it obvious that a rookie came and edited the sprites."

To my eye, the best part about this pic is the combined MK1/MK3 background. Other than that, it seems like the usual quality for a fake (maaaaybe a little sub-par), so...

The only good thing about the fake is the more realistic looking shuriken (the one on the right). Other than that, the fake is not good.

Your shading on Baraka's kneepads, and crotch guard is poor. It looks like crumpled tin foil to me. The shading on Reiko is practically nonexistant.

Don't use just 1 color to edit stuff, get different shades to use. Reiko's hair, and costume look flat.

All those shuriken in Baraka at one time looks shitty. They all blend together. Spread them out more. Maybe have some in his head, and torso too.
