nice but wahts with the face?

Originally, it was what was visible on Reptile's face was skin colored. But it looked really odd, so I decided to cover the whole face up with the facial wrapping. If I could give him a back story, I would say that he came from an alternate version of the realm Seido, and was kidnapped at birth by Shang Tsung. He would be hidden from his counterpart, Reptile, as he was kept in the Warrior shrine, in the shadows. The reason his face was hidden is because during his training, he beat Shang Tsung. Shang Tsung, in retaliation, called upon Shao Khan, who mutilated his face with his hammer. Actually, I want someone to write a bio for this character. That would rule.

oh okay. but wouldnt it be better if he beat Shang then Red guy turns away, then Shang runs at him with a fireball in his hand and burns his face? its just that Kahn wouldnt avenge Shang for failure and Shang would not summon Kahn

Good point. But I'm looking to people who want to write a bio. I've been thoroughly inspired by Aculeus. He's like my art hero.

I haven't thought of any names yet. Anyone can try. The story is in my second post. People can change tidbits and add stuff to it.

Well, technically, he's Seidan, not Zaterran. I did like Basilisk though.

"My name is Basilisk. I was once a proud warrior from Seido. Best in my class, top-ranking warrior, second-in-command to the siedan guards, yes very proud indeed. I even have a very powerful gaze that can cause paralysis.

But that changed when our Realm was challenged to Mortal Kombat. Our enemy was Outworld. It was a simple one-on-one match versus Shang Tsung. Though Hotaru would have joined, he was attending a skirmish against the Chaosrealm. I was the next logical choice.

I put up a valiant fight defeating Shang Tsung in one round. But that victory was short lived. I thought my gaze paralyzed him so turned away. But when turned back to face him, he rammed a fireball in his hand to my face. My face was scarred beyond repair and my sight was taken. He then just left through a portal.

I became blind and mad. My mind was thrown into chaos! Because of that i was banished from Seido and sent to an unknown jungle realm with just my clothes and a naginata. At first it was hard, considering i was blind and couldnt tell exactly what i was eating. But then i met someone who said he would help me. He didn't tell me who he was but he teached me to survive without sight. My naginata wasn't quite good for me so i started using knives. He gave me some clothing that would help in my learning.

Though hospitable, i couldn't help but feel an evil presence around him. I thank him for hospitality & teachings and left. One day later, Outworld invaded. The first thing that came to mind was... revenge. I found Shang Tsung and his minions attacking a weak village and challenged him to Mortal Kombat. He didn't recognize me and thought i was a weakling.

We fought. I felt like we were fighting that same battle from before. I once again defeated Shang and he knew i was familiar. I removed my bandages and showed him. With my knife i was ready to kill him but his minions were around. He then made a portal underneath me and sent me to the unknown..."

Hmm, to be honest, I liked that one. But it seemed much more like a story! Vash_15 sent me one, which I really do like. Maybe the two could mix. Anyway, now that this bio business is done, how do we put it in picture form?

Make a cool background, retype the bio. I could try to whip out a background, and I have a cool font. Cut out the pic and I'll get it done.

I got to say with the red and the whole face covered in black bandages he looks just like ermac

Ermac's covered almost completely, apart from his eyes, which are covered in this character's picture. Plus, he doesn't have the two pieces of loose cloth flying around his head. Also, he doesn't have the classic MK ninja garb on, whereas my character does. Plus, he doesn't have green anywhere on him.

Yeah, this is the one:

Our lives are our own to control, at least that's what I was told as a child. My life however, is in control of another, a man named Shang Tsung. Abducting me at birth, he kept me in a place called the Warrior Shrine and trained me. As time went on, I bettered my skills, however, I knew moves I'd never seen before, as if my soul was tied to someone else, someone with great fighting abilities. Eventually my power became so great, I was able to beat Shang Tsung himself, however, as a ruthless general for a more ruthless emperor, defeat was not taken lightly. As I slept, his royal guard tied me down, and Tsung began slowly cutting my face every way possible. Unable to move, it was worse torture than anything I'd seen or felt, and all the while he was laughing so triumphantly that it drowned out my screams. now forced to cover my face in anguish, and pull every punch, I know it's time to take back my own life, all I have to do, is wait for the right moment.

I'm officially giving this character the name 'Basilisk', thanks to the suggestion from Chimera. So, I guess there are three creators of this new character. Me (the maker of the image), Vash (the Bio author), and Chimera (the name giver). If Ed Boon were here, he'd love this! He's got a twitter, right?
