Man what is wrong with you? Some of these characters you "create" either exsisting MK characters or characters from another game or cartoon. You have no creativity, because you cannot produce your own character with it's own look. And some of them don't even fit in the MK world. Pay attention to all the games, there's a certain style Mortal Kombat possesses. It's dark, grim, and deals with death. Somewhat demonic. And if you're gonna draw characters, at least do characters that already exist, and stop using that program. I am not sure you noticed, it doesn't work for you. Try a new medium, because it's not a good medium to use. And the gel look is aggrivating to the eye.

What they mean is stop using the filters, period. Post a drawing. Everyone who uses Photoshop can easily see you are using the glass filter, or a bevel, or a combination of both. Use photoshop to color the picture, don't do a quick filter and think that will impress somebody. It won't.
