THE STIPULATIONS:
1) One of two characters is to be performing a fatality on his or her
opponent.

2) Entrants are given the option of using a sprite from one of the 2D MK
titles (MK1 - MKM: Sub-Zero) or creating a 2D rendering of a character
from one of the 3D MK installments (MK4 - MK 2011).

3) It is required that the fatality victim be a character from another video
game title (God of War, Resident Evil, or Street Fighter, just to name a
few). Copying and pasting a sprite or model/render from another video
game title is prohibited.

4) The entrants are required to create either an entirely original
background never before seen in the MK universe, or recreate a 2D
version of an arena from one of the 3D MK installments (MK4 - MK
2011).

5) Entrants are prohibited from exploiting outside resources, such as
Google Images and DeviantArt, for use in any part of the image.
Entrants are also barred from using pre-rendered effects/brushes,
such as Paint Shop Pro's "tubes"; all special effects (i.e., projectiles,
blood/gore) must be designed from scratch and/or borrowed from one
of the 2D MK titles (MK1 - MKM: Sub-Zero).

To those of you who would like to participate, I ask that you respond in a manner that indicates your intended involvement. Given the complexity of the stipulations for this particular FPK, I am extending the deadline beyond the standard six- to seven-day span. The official deadline for submissions is Wednesday, March 6th, at midnight (EST).

If anyone has any further questions or concerns relating to this edition of fake picture kompetition, don't hesitate to contact me via MKOnline's private messaging system. That said, I bid all of you a token of my appreciation for your potential participation. Let's make this one for the ages, folks!

You gotta be kidding me. This is the lamest stipulation I've ever seen for a public FPK. People come to these kontests to see straight up Mortal Kombat bliss, not Sub Zero decapitating Mario. Most likely this is rigged where the host has been working on something for months already that involves another video game character.

In other words you dont have what it takes to enter the FPK (again). To each his own.

I know that you're incapable of absorbing anymore information or logic into that thick skull of yours, but I must say that you really should learn to keep your narrow-minded and completely pointless remarks to yourself. Every single time that you've taken part in an FPK, you've preemptively accused the host of being involved in some conspiracy against you in an effort to excuse your inevitable defeat. Now that you've conceded your artistic ineptitude and have consequently graced the fake picture industry with your absence, something for which I'm genuinely grateful, your sole aim is to drive your droning bigotry down everyone's throats.

By the way, there have been a good number of fake pictures and even animations posted with characters from Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros., Street Fighter, and a great deal of other franchises. I'd suggest that you do a little research prior to making such baseless claims, but I know that you'll continue being a useless, resentful, and uninformed halfwit because that's the reputation that you've latched onto in an effort to define your wasted existence.

You've gotten absurdly predictable. I remember when you at least tried to be civil, but I suppose that when one feels insignificant for as long as you have, one is inclined to chronically berate those who are morally, intellectually, and artistically superior. Haters gonna hate, and you continue to demonstrate that with each and every one of your prejudiced comments. This is the very last time that I acknowledge and respond to you and your infantile, jealousy-driven behavior. That is all.

I expose the ridiculous flaws of your contest and all you do is mask your inadequacies with yet another pointless wall of text. You fail to even answer the most basic of questions that I put forth. Way to dodge the issues at hand chief.

I'm going to reply one last time just to clear up a thing or two that I failed to explain in my previous rely. This will be the last time that I partake in one of these senseless disputes.

UltimateRyu Wrote:

I confer with a handful of past contest participants in an effort to come up with the most innovative set of stipulations. Until there is agreement across the board, each stipulation remains open for discussion and I am always open for suggestions. If there were any flaws, they would have been resolved long before the announcement of the contest stipulations. As such, there are no flaws and your related preconceived notion has been refuted.

UltimateRyu Wrote:

To be fair, you didn't ask anything. Instead, you went your usual route and made blind, unfounded, and completely unnecessary accusations.

UltimateRyu Wrote:

You've made this accusation on a handful of prior occasions, so you have to understand that the only logical reaction that I would have to such a baseless claim is to simply disregard it. To clarify once more, this contest was discussed amongst a wide-ranging group of past contestants. So, there is no way that this contest could have been rigged in my or anyone else's favor.

Depending on my schedule over the next week-and-a-half, I can only say that I may or may not compete in this contest. However, your unjustified claim that I've been working on my entry for months is completely false.

You really should relax, guy. There's no need to think that there's a conspiracy rooted deep in an unofficial contest where there isn't even a chance for a physical reward. There is no incentive for anyone to feel the need for any sort of deception or unfair advantage. To think that you honestly believe that you've just uncovered the biggest scandal since Watergate is utterly, laughably pathetic. Thanks for the laugh, though.

Surprise, surprise.

If that wasn't his excuse not to participate, he would have picked on another stipulation to bail out.

EDIT: Or maybe with the way he's been flooding this forum with his spectacular new fakes, he feels he's too good for the rest of us. If he spent just as much time working on a good fake than he does thinking of ways to start arguments around here, he'd actually get some respect by [some] of us.

I would love to enter this contest, Veno, but honestly...I don't like killing. Strange coming from an MK fan, I know, but it's kind of a creed I live by. Of course, if you ever were to create a contest whereas two opponents are dirty, bloodied and/or battle-scarred then I would be more than happy to enter. Until then, I'll just sit back and watch you great artists work. That includes you, too, UltimateRyu. wink

I can respect a man's ideals, even those as incongruous as yours. However, the death doesn't need to be excessively brutal or violent. If you are genuinely interested in partaking in this contest, then I suggest that you go with something like a quick and (comparatively) clean beheading.

For potential victims whose death would be viewed as merciful, I recommend that you go with a zombie or a vampire from any number of video game titles and both of whom were already truly dead at some point or another. Or, you could victimize Adolf Hitler from Wolfenstein since, you know, I don't believe that anyone would mind his death. If I were in your shoes, I would prefer that the zombie be portrayed as the victim, since the death of a zombie would be deemed as genuinely merciful given that the soul of the formerly living is still trapped inside this walking corpse.

If you're still find that you're unable participate in this edition of fake picture competition, then I will respect your decision.

Wow. I must say Veno always has very creative and inspiring ideas.

Where there is a will, there is a way. We hope you can partake, SoK.

Ah it feels good to get back into some fake making. The more kontestants the merrier! I like the Hitler idea.
Revised my lazy placeholder by making a full stage. Did you get my PM with the 3rd revision, Veno?

Today's featured user: RaisnCain suggested the "full size" stage measurements I use for my stages. He hasn't been around either.

Aculeus & JAX007 seem to've moved on, as well.
