Nice idea, poor execution. You should try editing the sprites to look like their recent counterparts. Also, the blood looks bad. You need to smooth it out and make it look real. I'll give you credit though for at least making it black.

I just made this as a quick thing. The MK3 life bars are harder to put on than the MK2 ones because they are white and harder to get in without it blending in. And I don't have a very good color editor so I just colored in the blood myself. I just didn't want to sit down for two hours editing it and fixing every little detail.I had other things to do.

Ya its an ok concept. However your not going to get far by just cutting and pasting. Try some customization. Edit sprites, background, projectiles and blood. Just tow around with it, you can never do wrong. As long as you like it thats good enough, everyone else just posts their opinion. Now though im going to give you....

Yeah that whole "this is my first" cut-paste analogy doesnt really work well here. I understand if you didn't wanna spend hours editing it, but seriously with photoshop you could do things like swap colours around, experiment with filter effects or just throw together a quick background and you would've gotten at least a half-decent result (worthy of a 1.5 or 2 outta 5). You could have even googled up a chainsaw or something to use instead of that sandwich maker thing from MK3.

Woohoo for copy-n-paste fakes. Don't be afraid to edit. Hell in my first fake I edited my sprites and had a craptastic bg, but it still was slightly original.

Main message: Be original and try to edit or create your own stuff.

I know I could have done more but I don't even know if my computer has a photoshop. I'm not trying to make an excuse doing a sucky job (which I did) I'm just asking do you have to buy photoshop or does it come with the computer? If I can figure out how to do all of this I will make a better version just please help me out.

Theres a sticky thread up the top of this art forum that tells u where to get some free legal art programs. See if theres anything useful there. And dont be afraid to browse the fan submissions for any good fakes done in teh past. Just dont comment on them cos seeing 3 year-old posts come back to life pisses me off, because I think those good artists of the past have come back and given us some new stuff to look that (even though I know its like Ok to do that now *rolls eyes*)
