Shang Tsung's Throne Room
Mortal Kombat has always been a big part of my life since I was 6 years old. I wanted to take on the challenge of modeling ornate Chinese and Japanese architecture, so I figured I'd remake Mortal Kombat's classic arena, Shang Tsung's Throne Room. I re-imagined the arena with more traditional Chinese architecture with a mix of Korean architecture. The scene consists of 180,393 tris, since I tried to maintain a decent poly count for Unreal Engine 4 which is what is commonly used these days.

Dang you should join the FPK if you can create like this. BS is allowing 3D rendered kontent if you made it yourself.

FPK stands for Fake Pic Kontest - they're usually held on MKO once a year but there has been a decline in interest in recent years. However this year there seems to be a turn around with better promotion and signups. A fake is basically a single mock up screen of one of the older 2D games varying in range from small authentic looking changes to something more fantastical that expresses higher degrees of creative freedom that the original game could not handle. This year's rules allow 3D renditions as well if all the kontent is built from the ground up. The sign up for FPK 2019 is sticked at the very top of this board.
