Like what everybody else above had mention, That a sweet drawing.

The picture rocks, no question about it, but I don't like the fact that Smoke all of a sudden decides to want to kill Sub-Zero for being forgotten. It can be argued that Sub-Zero followed Smoke to the Netherealm to save him. Also, since he refused to kill him while he was programmed to obey Noob Saibot, why did he decide to kill him now that he has true free will? Technically, the fact that he was forgotten by Sub-Zero should've fueled his anger to kill him while he was a machine, no?

Smoke's second bio is actually taking a look from two different perspectives, before his ressurection, and then after. Since he's been tainted, his judgement has been clouded, and his mind twisted. So him being left alone in the Netherealm, is his view of being abandonned and betrayed for the last time.

Ooh, cool. I like how you put that, that's a pretty neat idea.

Meh, even so, I'm still not quite so fond of that story direction.

You keep criticising it, yet you don't say exactly what's your problem with it. Aside from you not being "fond" of it. Some input might be helpful. I don't mean to be an ass, but it's kind of irritating. I've explained several times what his thought pattern is. So why not just state what don't you like about it.

Alright, fair enough. I just think that it's one of those plots in which I can see where it's going and I feel it's a bit too simplistic. I think he should either stick with Noob Saibot or he should be freed from his control, but make a new path for himself, perhaps one of gaining true freedom. I hope that there will be some more backstory to Smoke and I mean more than the backstory given in MKT. I'm talking about things such as his origins and his powers and how he came to have them and to be a Lin Kuei warrior assassin.

OK, I can understand that. But just because Smoke is tainted, doesn't mean he's being controlled by anything. His mind has been twisted by the aura of the Netherealm, but every choice he makes is his own. Like it said, he want's redemption, but he'll make anybody pay who double crossed him to achieve it.

I don't think he cares about redemption. I always got the impression that he's a character who desires freedom.
