Hmm.. actually this is pretty interesting. I was condused at first, since usually the characters are under their lifebars, and not the opponents. Just seems like that is a tendency in fakes for some odd reason, I like that you changed it up a bit though, makes it feel more 'game like'.
The lifebars are okay I guess... they look pretty cool, a decent edit on the MKDA version. I don't really like for the names to be lined up like that though. Also, the lifebar seems a bit 'low' to me. Sparata's win tokens are a bit too spaced, its just a small thing really but they should be somewhat closer together. As for the BG, its not bad, I like that you did change the color of the floor a bit, it helps it fit into the Wastelands darker themed background. But, even with that I don't think the Wastelands was the best choice here, the floor still seems not to match up well with it in my opinion. Shadows are there, good job remembering them.
Your character, Sparata, while just a palette swap is a nice idea. I prefer to see these kinds of characters sometimes, of course, edited characters are always better but this is nice than just Smoke/Cyrax/Sektor, I like to see what sort of names people come up with sometimes. I'd rather see these things your character threw at Smoke connect, than see the 'shocked pose'. But I do like the fact you changed the prop itself a bit, makes it look more missle like to me. The white looks like smoke trailing behind it somewhat.
The idea was using Smoke's spear against him, correct? I'm not sure I really see this idea represented here. Those are Kahn's spears I know, but I would have liked to see 3 or 4 actual spears or edited spears coming at smoke, I think it would look cooler than this in my opinion. Because as I said, these sort of resemble missles in a way, not spears. But, either way, this is a pretty nice fake, good job.
