Trying to do something new with Sonya, but ended up copying her MK:SF design for the most part. I have some ideas for new Sonya designs, though, and hopefully I'll put them on paper eventually. I'm pretty happy with the drawing, as I generally consider myself unable to draw women. ;P Her face looks pretty wierd (especially her lips), but I think I managed decently with her body.

Whoa! Okay.... well the colouring is real good here and you pretty much have the female figure down, but there's some issues here.
You noted the lips already so I don't have to repeat that. Her legs are too large for her, especially her boots. Her mid section is buldging out too much. I see you wanted to exentuate her muscular tone, but there's an easir way to do it. Plus her head is too squarish and looks awkward compared to her figure as a whole.
For me drawing women was challenging because going overboard in some areas of the figure makes them look wierd, while you can tend to get away with it when drawing male figures.
Go to page 3 of the Artist advice thread and there should be a link that Bleed posted that leads to a tutorial on figure drawing.
I think you should practice more while at the same time haveing a understanding of the human figure. If you see a picture of a figure(male of female) that you think is a good choice, study the proportions from head to foot. I think both scale and proportions are the areas you need to work on. I see you took some time trying to get her right and that's why it's not a bad drawing.

The drawing is good, The coloring is good too.
For things to work on.
Some of the proportions need work, like stated above.
You need to practice drawing heads some more.
Draw a lot of heads, that's the best thing I can tell you.
Draw from real life the most if you can.
Comic books are ok too, but for me, I say draw from real people.
Keep it up, I want to see more of your work.

Man face MAN FACE!!!! Sorry, that was the very first thing I noticed, everything looks great I like your drawing and coloring, youve done an awesome job on all the little details but you need to work on the face, it needs to be way more feminine because at the moment it looks disturbingly wrong. As was mentioned by someone else all you can really do is keep drawing and trying out new things and youll find something that works for you. Keep it up.

OK good things first. Coloring job is great. I love that. And her figure overall isnt bad, just the proprtions on her are wrong. Her thighs and boots are too big for her in relation to the rest of her body. And the face. Like everyone basically said above me, take time to keep drawing heads over and over till u get it right. You will after time. Check the artist advice thread. Cuz you do have skills, just work on those couple of areas and you'll be fine. Cant wait to see more from you. 4/5
