Mortal Kahn-Vert

This is a parody of Annahillation.
I thought of this years ago, cause someone asked the same question about the movie.

I hope we don't get back to the time where everyone thought they could make sprite comics. Those were some dark times.

Am I the only one who understood & enjoyed it?
Considering he rules over rulers, one could say Kahn is a King, of Kings...

Not to mention Raiden's ambiguos religious/ethnic background.

As for the percieved lack of quality,
A simple message goes unadorned.
A message so clear, you walk right through it.
A grave warning from on high...

Maybe if someone explained the last panel to me, it wouldn't be so terrible.

Agreed. The execution of this entire scene was a bit sloppy, to say the least.

I've never been a fan of sprite comics; not even the good ones. I think a drawn comic, even if it's poorly drawn, is better than a "good" sprite comics.

I guess the joke was the important part of the comic though. And it was funny, so I'll give you props for that.

The "joke" as I perceive it is that Shao Kahn knows the whole bible thing even though he's the ruler of a different realm in a universe that really "retcons" the bible.
I may be wrong, since I don't understand the last panel and maybe that's where the true joke lies, a secret, tasty piece of humor yet to be discovered by me.
If I'm right though, here's why I don't like it:
- This "blooper" has already been pointed out many times. The movie DID come out over 10 years ago, you know.
- Completely explaining and exposing a joke takes away the fun of it. It's like that scene from the Simpsons where McBain tries to be a stand up comedian: "Did you ever notice how men always leave the toilet seat up? That's the joke".

Good comedy writing is all about making the reader understand the joke without having to explain it completely.

Also, the fact that the visuals are terrible doesn't help.

Not to go too far off track, but that's a pretty big call!
I was gonna have Cage's head on backwards to signify his neck was snapped, but I thought folks would ask why his head was on backwards. Or even why he's killed when it's called Kahn-vert(convert).

Then I was just gonna have him laying on the ground dead, but I thought folks would complain there wasn't enough transition into it.

So finally I just decided to leave him there, kneeling ambiguously. That furthers another equally old/lame joke.

OH LAWDY! Johnny boy dun seen tha light n been REBORN AGAIN!

And again, and again, 'n again, 'n again, 'n again.

*clap* TESTIFY!!
