Renders are for the lazy people. Please don't rely on them. Try to make your own sprites from scratch.

I agree. I am still trying to learn this a little better. It is one of my first fakes. I am trying one right now, but it ain't goin so well...

Take your time. Come out with ideas that are original and hasen't been done by other people. I don't know why people see fake pic making like if it was homework.

Aside from the renders what do you think? I had a hell of a time with the shadows... thats why they look a little funny.
Update: Boy, you guys don't like Renders! Geesh, I wish I would of known!

You did a a lot better with the shadows this time. It is a proof that you can still make better fakes. About the renders, they look nice sure, but they are just reduced from a screenshot and paste over your background. You made a good use of that wide background this time. Good effort. I personnally prefer the regular size.
About the sprite edits, start by painting over the existing sprites with the brush from the program you are using, Do not exagerate on the colors because it will look too "fake". Try using different colors tones from the same color to give a impression of light reflecting over.

Yeah, as MaxDam said, the renders look nice, but its just the same as copying and pasting in the end .

Anyhow.
True, this is better than your previous, but a few things:

- Shadows. They are good, but however, I feel they could be a little bit shorter (game shadows are approx 1/3 the size of the sprites, cheers ]ombat ). And also, if you want to make it look dead like the game, then dont skew them. But that's a choice left up to you.
- Renders, yeah, as mentioned .
- There wasn't too much point in adding in Sareena, Frost and Drahmin's head. I mean, the main part of this is Subby slicing up Moloch, which could have been done on a smaller background. Frost, Sareena (inparticular), and Drahmin's head are just a silly waste of space, when you haven't done anything to look at them for. Just extends the background pretty unnecessarily.

Good things:
+ Your blood work is better, particularly on Moloch's lower body (where he's been cut).
+ You're improving, heh .

As said, you're getting better, look forward to some more stuff .

What don't you get exactly? Seriously, this fake is 4 years old, and the user doesn't even post here anymore. Seriously, choose which threads to bump and choose what you say.
