That's very good. Though, it looks a little funny. The way Motaro's tail is wrapped around Shao Kahn's head looks weird, and good at the same time. I like your fakes ultimateryu, and I would like to see more. 4/5

This fake is good.

I don't like the background you used, I think the Soul Chamber background would have a greater effect on the fake than the Rooftop. However, I liked how you edited the Rooftop background though. The spikes are a nice touch and I like the blood effect on them. Take the editing job you did to this background but, put it in the Soul Chamber, would've been a lot cooler.

The blood effects on Shao Kahn and Motaro are good but, there's to much blood shooting out of Motaro's tail. I don't like the position Motaro's tail is in as Kahn is strangling him, it looks like Kahn is sawing Motaro's head off rather than choking him.

Hmm, okay nice idea, though I think a few things could have been better.
First off though, is this meant to be a fake or a kind of story thing? Because it its a fake then I would say lifebars etc. but I really can't tell, heh.

So anyway:
If it's a fake, lifebars

The background isn't too great in my opinion, and I don't get what's with the speaker systems on the columns from the netherrealm or whatever they are, just looks odd heh. The background is pretty much a cut and paste with the only exception possibly being the holes in the gargoyles.
Still, it doesn't look brilliant.

However, you used a good choice of sprites to pull this off. Motaro's e-xpression is quite good and because of Kahn's sprite it's pretty obvious he's angry. The blood though, from Motaro's tail I felt was a bit cheap, it's just the same splat pasted over and over. The blood around Motaro's neck looks a bit square, in that its dribbling in a squarish shape, particularly as there is a larger streak of blood on the tail that looks straight.

Shadows would've been a nice addition I feel (unless it is a fake in which case the background should be dimmed and they wouldn't be necessary).
And the last point I'll mention is that if it is a fake there should also be a "Shao Kahn Wins" text if the fatality text is there, but I don't think that should be there either as Kahn isn't exactly "finished".

I won't rate this because I don't really know what to make of it (fake/story thingy), but I will say good job with using some good sprites to make this look effective enough .

They're all valid points Tim that I will take into consideration for future fakes. I was trying to go for the more cinematic approach but it does look like a straight forward fatality. And the "speaker boxes" were meant to acctually be padlocks that are holding the spikes in place since you cant seamlessly join the pillar and spike together.

Good things:

1) The placment of them is great
2) The blood is what makes it an alright fake

Bad Things

1) Why is Kahn choking Motaro with his own tail? He could just pull out a mallet and cruch his head
2) Not funny
