First, let me begin by saying this; I for one do not appreciate your downtalking of the fake pic community. Some of these people actually work quite hard on their fakes. While there are some fakers on this board, who I won't call by name, that aren't very good or either don't try very hard, there are alot of talents that post things here. Not everyone can draw, but anyone can learn to make fakes after time. You, a person who apparently doesn't submit drawings OR fakes doesn't have the right to say things like "drowning in a sea of fakes". Drowning usually isn't a pleasant experience, therefore you are saying this board sucks because some of the fanartists have left. I respect both, and I try to post my thoughts on a mix of the two.

However, despite the insults made at the fake pic artists, I like the general idea of the thread, to help inspire. I have plenty of ideas myself, but being a perfectionist I have never actually submitted a work yet, though I am working on one.

I'm sorry if it offended you. It's just that the fact that this forum is mostly fakes now kind of gets to me. I used to love seeing the fanartists post their good stuff, receiving crits and comments. Although I respect anyone who can make a fake, almost half of them completely suck compared to the prize winners I 'grew up' on. I might try faking soon. O- okay, maybe they don't suck as much as I'm saying, it's just that sometimes you can really tell that there was no effort put into them.

But the whole idea of this thread is to just submit ideas. Don't hold back on what you think is a good idea because of the near idiotic reason you just gave. I haven't made anything either, but I still have ideas to post.

2.) Scorpion poking a grounded opponent's head into pieces with his spear. For this you're going to obviously require a bending version of scorpion's spear. If you have photoshop, you might want to try some sort of warp option. I think that for this to work out best, Scorpion should be standing a good distance behind his opponents head. Hell, I might try this!

No one has any good ideas?

3.) Raiden using his powers to make someone's chest cavity explode. If you choose to use this, how you convey it is up to you. I would have him using his staff though.

Well... some of your ideas, they can't easily be pulled off. I'm sure some of the experienced and time-taking fakers could do them, but someone new to the game won't be able to.

For your first suggestion, the person would have to make a Kenshi sprite, I've only seen a select few even make characters that aren't actually in the game. MaxDam or one of the 'retired' fakers probably could do this.

The second, well, its not as difficult. But not everyone has photoshop, I could probably do it in Paint, but it takes alot longer to achieve good quality than other programs. Don't get me wrong though, I am a big supporter of Paint, its not impossible to create just as good, or better, work with it.

The third, again, Rayden's staff would have to be created by the faker. Alot of people will shy away from your ideas if they aren't simplified, though if the right person sees these ideas, killer fakes could be produced.

On #3, Raiden could just be holding up his opponent, or putting his hand into the opposition's back. All that has to be sure is that Raiden is facing the opponent's back. This, in my opinion, heightens how believable it is. The shock enters through the opponent's back and blows his chest cavity out. That's believable, right?

Sounds believable to me, all thats left to do now is get someone to try and create it.

A new version of Scorpion's Toasty. It has the opponent on the ground burning, but the opponent should be actually burning away, as if we can see what's happening behind the flame. The opposition should be in a 'painful' pose. Scorpion should be raising his arms like in his MK5 Hellfire Summon move, as it would explain the flame.
Since there probably isn't a pose that can qualify as someone wretching their body in pain on the floor, or Scorpion raising his arms like in my minds eye, there will have to be a lot of frankenspriting. The people who only have MS Paint to work on can try to do this, as it was only meant to be a good fatality idea, but to achieve the picture I'm thinking about, Photoshop itself will be a huge help.

This will be very vague, so if any of the pros decide to take this on, you can convey it how you like. I want death himself (he/she could just be a grayscale version of a regular or original sprite.) to disintegrate an unlucky foe using 'black energy'. The thing is to show the opponent mid-disintegration to make it interesting, as a pile of ash will provide barely any backstory. Just as with the idea for Scorpion, this will require frankenspriting, I assume.

I'm sorry, but I'm making these ideas under the misguided perception that everyone has Photoshop. Could someone else put some simplisic ideas in here?

I like this thread, but I don't see anyone trying to take these fakes and make them so.

As for your comment about Paint and Photoshop, its not really true. You can do those things with Paint, but you must be skilled, and patient most importantly as it takes pixel work to do certain things. But alot of the fakers here have just Paint, and probably won't take the time to make any of your ideas reality. But IF, i ever can finish my present fake, I will take one of these fake ideas as my next, so feel free to keep the ideas coming.

I think this thread was a great initiative. I generally don't make fake pics myself, but since that's mostly becuase I never come up with any good ideas, hearing requests and suggestions from other people gives great inspiration. I'm not sure that I'll use any of the ideas posted so far for any pics I might make, but if I see something that specifically catches my interest, you never know what might happen... ;)
