There are many emulators, and I don't know which one is the best... For roms though, you want the latest version if your just looking to play, (like MK2 rev. 3.1, and UMK3 rev. 1.2) and for the most MK2 cheats, Ace has put the most so far in MK2 Challenger version.

Button 1: HP Button 2: BLK Button 3: HK Button 4: LP Button 5: LK If your emulator has a button 6 for MK2, you can put another BLK. For MK3 and UMK3, controls are the same, and button 6 is Run... The Cheat.Dat goes in the folder where the exe is. Then, in mame, right click the game you want to play, go into Miscellaneous, and check enable cheats. The cheats are now in the in game menu... There should be a cheat that makes the background one color. When you turn on this cheat, you just take pictures, and cut them out in a oaint or picture program. And I hate this s#!t about treating noobs bad, or someone who just needs a little help. Stop making stupid comments when you don't know the whole story. This site is also a pain in th @$$ to navigate in. So if you have nothing good to say, shut the hell up, and keep your mouth shut until you grow some more brain tissue, and you mature. Nevermind him, he is always like that, just ignore him. Hope this helps...

forget about the default controls, go into the in game menu, input for this game, and you should see button 1 2 etc. and then you can assign it to any button you want... You should have a controller for the comp too for the best experience...

Ace, do you have an AIM or ICQ screenname? I try to contact on you, but the responses are far and few between. It would be much more convenient for me to talk to you directly. : )

Hey, the do the fatality in round 2, does that have to do with anytime fatalities? If it does, is there a way to fix it (so the opponent is not in their dizzy phase).

Hey, I forgot to ask this a long time ago... In MK2 3.1, you made the option to turn a player into a secret or boss character. Well, when I try to do it with the 2nd player, only the Noob and Jade optione works. The others turn into Jax or Kintaro (the Kintaro option turns into jax confused ). Can you do something about that?

You can go in manually and fix them, I had the same problem too. It's just trial and error to figure out which one is which is which.

You have to edit the Cheat.dat file. Edit w/ WordPad.

:mk2:0:0020C050:0C:001:Play as Kintaro Now! PL1
:mk2:0:0020C050:0D:001:Play as Shao Kahn Now! PL1
:mk2:0:0020C050:0E:001:Play as Smoke Now! PL1
:mk2:0:0020C050:0F:001:Play as Noob Saibot Now! PL1
:mk2:0:0020C050:10:001:Play as Jade Now! PL1
:mk2:0:0020C1CA:0C:001:Play as Kintaro Now!PL2
:mk2:0:0020C1CA:0D:001:Play as Shao Kahn Now PL2
:mk2:0:0020C1CA:0E:001:Play as Smoke Now! PL2
:mk2:0:0020C1CA:0F:001:Play as Noob Saibot Now! PL2
:mk2:0:0020C1CA:10:001:Play as Jade Now! PL2

These codes are for revision 3.1. To make them work for the other revisions replace where it says "mk2" with...
