I think everything in this video is great, including the stage, and the sprites. But as you mentioned the spikes didn't look so well, they just looks like diamonds with no dimension at all.

Why is there two scorpion wins messages?

Not bad, In fact I like it! Some struggling would of made it even better though.

Pretty much only thing is those spikes really! I think someone said but they look flat. so fix those up and this is great!

I'm not sure that they cast shadows on the pit (ala pit 3 in mk3) but i'm hardly going to say you shouldn't have done what Midway didn't .

Fix up them spikes an it's a 5/5 for me .

Lao fan, there are two "Wins" signs because in MK1 that sign came up directly when the uppercut for the pit fatality occured but because this is different, i didnt want the sign to remain there as liu was falling.

Tim, thanks mate. These spikes are pissing me off, they should be simple to make but everytime i make them they look all ****** up.
And yes you are correct, the shadows were not originally in the Pit II but i thought they'd look cool and add some realism so i added them.

Tbh, the first ones look better.
It's not the shape that's the problem they just need some depth to them, some ood shading or something.

I know what you mean, does anyone think they could draw or find some decent looking spikes somewhere?
I would be very grateful if somebody could get them and give them to me.

I know this is pretty late, but I just realized the similarity between this idea and El Nino's, posted here. I'm sure this is purely coincidental, and both are different enough from each other. Anyway, maybe El Nino could help you out with the sprites?

Very nice idea and executed well and i dont think the spikes are that bad i dont really know how you could improve them
