Yeah, that's a ton of pages to read through. I do recall it being said before now, though. I find it ironic that the older Sub lost so badly to Reptile and now his lesser younger brother defeats him. Interesting character choice, although it does make sense.

Does this answer your question?
I'd normally not want to spoil it before it's done, but since the final version will be wearing his helmet, I thought it'd be fun to show you guys that I actually drew his whole face on an underneath layer.
I've still got some details on his armor and the weapons he's holding to polish before I can start coloring, but I'm hoping to be done in a week or less.

Kahn looks awesome.

Awesomeness!! Can’t WAIT!
Wasn’t Kahn supposed to have red eyes though? And blank, like Scorpion or Raiden’s eyes?

They will be glowing solid red when I color them.
As for the pupils, they've been visible in some games. They're even there in Tobias's MK2 comic.

Personally I'm not a fan of the art style. The only art I will appreciate is watercolour ink.

As a precautionary measure, before anything even starts, I'd like to ask every single person here to please just do not respond to hanky so that there's no arguments that derail the thread. If you don't like what he said, just ignore him entirely, I think that's the quickest way to stay on-topic.
Khan looks bad-ass. The horns on his forehead were big parts of what physically separated (besides his size) him from the more human characters of Earthrealm. His facial expression looks like that of a ruler; somewhat displeased or unsatisfied perhaps with a minion or pawn, maybe.
I'm sorry for being out of the loop, but what other characters do you have left to draw after Shao Khan?

Just Blaze and Hornbuckle are left after Kahn. Then it's on to the alt costumes.
Though before I start the alts, I might do some more of the NPCs who appear in my MK1 script, like Great Kung Lao, Bo' Rai Cho, and the Black Dragon gang members.

Well...I gave him a few scenes in the MK1 outline (one of which was an illusion Shang forced Liu to fight, but still) to establish the importance of his role as Liu's trainer, but Bo's job was to train a fighter good enough to win the tournaments and save Earthrealm from Kahn.
Liu is that fighter, so Bo's work is done and he can move back home to Outworld. That's why we don't see him again until Deadly Alliance, because his teaching skills aren't needed until Liu Kang dies.

Pretty good idea.
Not to seem like a brown nose, but you have a good way of taking the source material and putting in your own two cents when plot holes start to suck.
Back on topic, though. Are there any chances of Liu Kang and Kung Lao having side conversation even? Mentioning the training at the hands of Bo' Rai Cho? Which now has me curious, was Kung Lao trained by Rai Cho before Liu Kang died?

As far as I know, Kung Lao and Bo Rai Cho don't even meet in the old timeline until after Liu's death.

Spider's right, the games never mention Kung Lao even meeting Bo' Rai Cho until Deadly Alliance.
My version of MK1 has Kung briefly meet Bo' at the Shaolin Temple, in the scene where he and Liu Kang are both asking to be the one who gets to go to the tournament and the Shaolin have to choose which one to send.
It's a moment meant to be reminiscent of the scene in the 1995 movie where Lambert shows up at the temple to shock everybody and give Robin Shou a hard time, except with Bo in place of Raiden and Kung Lao being the one who needs to learn a lesson instead of Liu Kang.
The way I see it is that Bo' lives alone like a hermit and waits for the best fighters to prove their devotion by seeking him out, that's why he sits at home never helping out during most of the games. So most people only know of the "legend" of him, they either don't believe he exists or think he died of old age a long time ago.
Liu believed and went off alone to find him, Kung Lao didn't and got all his training from the White Lotus, which is one reason why he's not as good as Liu is. (The other reason being that Liu was born special, "the chosen one" and all that...)
So Liu comes to the temple to prove he's ready, and to back him up, in walks Bo and everybody's like "Holy shit, it's really him!"

Will there be a colored version of Shao Khan without a helmet as well as with it?
Also, when drawing Kenshi (I imagine will be around MK3? Correct me If I'm mistaken) will you be bringing back his sash that goes down his upper body from his MK:DA primary? On it there appears to be a red dragon.. It is probably not of any connection the actual Red Dragon clan, but then again maybe it could be? There is a lot about Kenshi's past that is never told (correct me if I'm wrong again) other than the fact that he went around Earthrealm challenging other warriors to Kombat to prove he was alpha-male. Perhaps that could be expanded on, it's merely an idea. Any thoughts?

I probably will do a colored version of Kahn unmasked, and put it on the NPCs piece with Human Sektor and Cyrax.
He'll certainly have the sash in his first primary, yeah. As for the dragon on it, I think it's the probably the crest of the House of Pekara, Kenshi's ancestors.

I'm not hating on your artwork, it's just what I like. Do u do paid work? I have a request if the price is right. I don't want to PM u because I've been warned about PM'ing.

Can't speak for him but I'm pretty sure Razor knows you were not hating on his work, you are entitled to your opinion after all.
Razor was most likely trying to defuse a potential situation where people would attack you for criticising his drawing and result in a long flame war that NO ONE wants to read.
On topic: Kahn looks sick. Can't wait to see him in full and coloured.

Yeah, it's okay to have your opinion, it's just that wherever you go, people argue, and I don't want MY thread derailed.
To answer your question though, no, sorry but I'm way too busy to take requests.

Would you make an exception if the request is to simply make the most kickass art ever?

0
Well...if you ask me to do something I'm already doing, does that really count as a request?
0
Fair point, good sir. After Kahn, who do you think you'll do next, Blaze or Hornbuckle?

0
Blaze, I imagine. Seems easier since I'm not entirely sure what I'm gonna do with Hornbuckle's costume yet.
