Well, I am not much of a penciler myself compared to The_Suit, and Jax007 but I try. Anyways here is a pic of Leonardo I drew and colored. I'm mainly just drawing random things to improve my pencilings as well (as my colorings). I would like to become a well rounded artist like Zombie who is good at drawing and coloring his own stuff. Anyways C+C's would be nice.

Hmm.. well this is pretty good. I like the colors you used, the greens look very well chosen. The accessories are well colored as well. Something looks a bit off with the head though. To me , it looks a bit to compact. It would be better if it were slightly longer I think.

Since I believe this was done in the style of the older cartoons, the muscles work is okay if that was the style you wanted. It does seem a bit flat, it could use some more muscle definition in a few places. The lighting effects are pretty good though, they seem to be well thought out and look like they adhear to a light source, not randomly placed.

Ok, well the pose is alright, though I think the legs look sort of odd. His right leg doesn't seem to have a much color depth as his left leg in my view. Also, his right foot could be a bit more broad. There's something about the left legs position, it just doesn't look quite right, almost like perhaps the knee is in the wrong position if he was standing like this.

Anyway, you can draw, and you can color better than alot of people here. You have alot of the skills to be really good, keep praticing with things like this, overall this looks pretty good I think.

Coloring is nice but let's talk about the drawing.

Even though it is a turtle you can still use basic human anatomy for musculature and proportions. The arm on the left is a little too far out on the shoulder. The legs don't show much of a defined thigh muscle except in the coloring. Actually because you are going to color the pic you may want to ease up on the contour lines. This pic would probably look better if you left them out.

There are small problems but the last main thing I would look at would be foreshortening. Notice how both arms look like they are perfectly perpendicular to the "camera" (sorry, thinking like an animator). Draw the one on the right more pitched. Of course that's the hard part. The leg on the right is not so bad but the one on the left has the same problem. It looks perfectly perpendicular. Truthfully the character could make this pose but in a drawing it makes it look flat.

Look for tutorials on the web, check the links at the top, for some blocking tutorials. Actually getting a shape done before you start adding in details. And also look up anatomy. Those are all things I think will help your drawings.

Hope that helps

Very nice work but I generally agree with what RaMeir wrote. Having drawn Ninja Turltes for years myself, I tend to notice every slight thing that is off. That is why I am not going to go into detail about that. I think it's unfair. Why? Let's just say that I was into Ninja Turles as much or more that I'm into MK right now. Actually, I was much more into Ninja Turtles. I used to fanatasie about them and had a thing for Leonardo...but lets not go there.

I like your choice of green. It's bright which gives the warm, happy feeling of the old cartoons; one of the main things I fell in love with back then. Their fighting skills were unquestionable, but they still knew how to have a good time and didn't worry about looking stupid (well, except Raphael tongue).

I believe the blue is a bit too dark for Leonardo but too blue for Donatello, but nicely done nonetheless.

Oops, I got off on a tangent of things I said I wouldn't mention. Back to what I like about it.

I like the idea behind the stance, and the shading, while quite simple, serves it's purpose uniquely. The white glow, while at first seemingly drawing away from the picture, adds depth to an otherwise very 2-D image.

Very nice job. Keep up the great work. And remember:

That's Turle POWER!

The turtles rock, but could they take skorpion? Actually Shredder could pass as a mk character.
