transparencies help!

i really havent sprite ripped before.. i try.. and im having the hardest time making distinctive character outlines.. just as i think i have all the white background out of it.. i throw it on a black background.. and there more is.. how do i make this easier? and how do i save a transparency for the web?.. ive been reading old thread topics for 30mins now trying to find it.. any help/advice?

well yourprolly savin them as jpg other wise after one cut you should have it cleaned nicly. just take it slow and cut then save in bmp.

backround tip: I make my backrounds pink, that way when you take out the backround color you dont lose specks of white from inside the sprite.

if I didnt help at all.... um sorry, lol.

bmp is suck compared to jpg? but this really does help?

I wish I could help you but I use a three step, multiple application process to work my sprites. I'll probably make a tutorial one of these days, but it'll only help those who have access to Flash.
