The sprite, Vindicare, the name and character the property of blacksaibot (I've been modifying the look, so as to give Vindicare less of an MK-style feel), had been in the freezer for about three months now. Obviously, it's incomplete, as I've run out of ideas for him. Initially, I wanted the feel of an Egyptian, something like Scarab out of UT2K3, but I could never find high-resolution screenshots or renders of any Egytpian-esque characters, from anywhere.

Now, I did tinker with the look in the past, but the progress was never saved, for the sole reason that the tinkering just made it look too futuristic. Maybe a little back-story on the character would help you guys conjure up some respectably-descriptive appearance for the sprite. The realm from which Vindicare hails--Sebek--is a dead realm, but it was once fairly abundant with life and foodstuffs, the ruler very wealthy, the palace looking something like Castle Gifu out of the Onimusha series. The realm was relatively outdated in terms of most other realms' advanced technology, but secret cults--the An'äti--studied necromancy and telepathy to the tee.

Anyway, basically, the realm was attacked by the Saurians (not of MK infamy; no, my version is far less...inept, and far more ominous, feared by all realms) and left in ruin. The An'äti fled before the place was destroyed, taking on a life of secrecy before members would join the Pit Vipers (anyone who knows me well enough knows who they are), or the Trinity Assembly, each member scrupulously studying each group's strenghs and weaknesses and entering the one they saw fit for their entry.

Blah, blah, blah... In short, I need relatively-descriptive ideas for the sprite's look. Have at it, ladies.

Oh yeah, and the reason for the bandages wrapped around Vindicare's face is because the An'äti perform self-sacrifices; they pluck out their own eyes and study...I won't go into that, as it is fairly complicated. Yeah, hit me with something.

I would probably shade the skin with a darker color first, then turn the whole outfit white, and shade it. Use some gold jewelry, and an Ankh. That would be a nice touch.

i know this idea isn't the greatest, but maybe you could remove the futuristic-Kano clothes and replace it with a sand-colored robe.

I think you should continue this edit in the direction I think you were going in. Hell, maybe even try some royal purple and gold armor or even a more robish feel to it. Also, I would give him some leather straps around his arms and calves and maybe even some sandals.. lol. Thats all I got.. I'm sure you'll think of something.

Maybe some more bandages around his body and arms but not too much.
Darker colors would be a best choice for his outfit imo. No "royal purple".

I think you should darken his skin, add more yellow and white to his clothes, and modify his clothing into more of a toga-style. Sandals could also be good, unless you want to keep the boots+shin guards. Also, remove the forearm braces, as a lot of characters in MK have those, so removing them will make him a little more unique and less MK-esque.
