Entry 1: Just brilliant. Superior sprite editing and the most gruesome of all the fatalities.

Entry 2: Amazing job on that dragon!

Entry 4: Very nice job on Jade.

Entry 5: Mileena vs PacMan. lol, the creativity. Love it.

Entry 6: Nice job making Kenshi

Entry 7: I love the stage from the Duke Nukem fake. That shit screams "MK" ... and what a painful looking fatality.

Entry 8: The human cyrax is great, it easily beats any of those sprites posted by saizero in my previous thread.

Entry 9: Very cool remake of the Kombat Tomb.

Don't be disgruntled. You have to learn how to walk before you can run. Entering into these kontests and pushing your skills to the limit is the best way to get better.

Good god these are good!!!!

I'm gonna have a really tough time picking...

1) The amount of detail that went into it is fucking bonkers. That stage is insane... and the sprites are amazingly detailed

2)Really cool idea and great work on the gore

3)Again, the sheer amount of detail here is mind-blowing; in both the stage and Nitara. Just by looking at it i cant see how much work was put into Saberwulf, i'm gonna have to do some research to trully appreciate this one.

4)Love the T Hawk sprite! Good job on jade too! the chains at her hips look particularly good.

5) This one is just funny hahaha. The lighting effects on Mileena's outfit isnt bad tho. Stage just feels unfinished.

6) I like the mk2 style kenshi. Not a huge fan of when they make the retro Kenshi and they keep all his DA detail.

7) This stage. This stage i love. I can tell where all the parts came from, but thats what makes me love this stage so fucking much. Very creative use of game elements to make a whole new environment. The stage itself feels very MK, very realistic. The fatality itself looks great as well, the gore looks fantastic, Cage looks good! The changes are subtle but effective. Duke looks good as well.

8) Very good job on human cyrax! I like the stage as well... the runes are actually pretty damn creative!

9) Good job on the Ivy sprite! Glad its not a flattened pic of her 3D render and it looks like it was actually made from scratch.

I have to do some research and keep looking for details i missed before i even attempt to make a choice.

Some pretty nice entries were thrown into the mix. Let's see how this plays out.

I vote for entry #5. I'm kinda pissed i didnt think of that.

All very good entries, guys. I am inclined to vote for Entry #6 as the coolest and most awesome fake on the planet () but I think that I'll exercise some humility and vote for Entry #1. Very well done!

WOW! Great turnout, everybody.

1: Excellent editing. Stage looks like a Star Wars version of MKII Tower. Ryu's texture seems midway between SF & MK.

2: Is that the Bahamut ZERO summon from Final Fantasy VII?! Holy Shit!

3: Excellent Acid Bath arena. I've wanted to tackle that stage for years. Nitara looks so cool, she'd fit in KI with the non humans. Supreme Victory.

4: Love the stage, love the T.Hawk edit, sweet Jade.

5: The stage seems bland. Isn't that tower in Dubai? Cool Mileena edit. Look at the size of... the sais... look at the sais of that Pac Man.

6: Nice old school fake vibe this has.

7: Excellent Duke edit. DN theme carries throughout the fake with the ball rip.

8: Is that the Chamber of Artifacts? You forgot the giant emerald with the sword in it.

9: Sweet Ivy. Motaro's revenge, from Armageddon?

3 are vs Street Fighter, 1 Killer Instinct & 1 Soul Calibur.

Took me a while, but i finally decided on #3.

It is incredibly well done, the sprites look great and the stage does too.

#7 is also amazing. The only thing that I wasnt crazy about is Duke's head. But i love the stage and the gore is amazingly done

#1 is also amazing, but I think #3 just looks more in-game so I like it a bit better.

Hmmm...Really close between 1 and 7... I think i'll go with Entry #7 ...

#1 gets my vote. I love the details given to the characters and the stage. Something seems a little off with Scorpion's shading, I can't put my finger on what though.
Honourable mention to #3, which I thought was pretty good as well, but what ultimately made me go with #1 was Nitara's face. I can't look at it and not think "Nicolas Cage in drag."
