Some are good.. but I dont think there is much to learn from them.

I like them.. well I didn't learn anything to tell you the truth. However if you think about it is kind ironic that during that time they made a character called "Cobra" & in MKD there is a character "Kobra". lol. Isn't that ironic?

I like the fatality the Jax did to Sheeva. It looks good, when he takes all of her four arms off. Some of them were funny too, like Nightwolf's fatality. Which ironically is similar to Bo'Rai Cho's fataliy, except that Bo'Rai Cho use fire. Anyway they look good.

Most if not all of those are crap.

A few of them had good ideas and nice execution, but for the most part they sucked.

I really wanna learn how to do Barney fakes...

Guys, this was before Photoshop was a dime a dozen and simple cut-n-paste skills weren't in style.

This was when Photoshop was mostly only availible to commercial business. These were leaps in front of their time.

Ah, no way. This site is awesome! I actually remember a bunch of these fakes from waaaaaay back in the day. Christ, was that nearly ten years ago?

Yeah, most of the fakes are pretty poor quality. But you have to keep the context in mind. These were made with "primitive" drawing programs long before anyone had thought of making slick fakes with all kinds of special effects and so forth. It's like deriding Medieval artists because they didn't have the same grasp of art as, say, Raphael. Well, OK, it's not really, but you get the general idea.

So there isnt really anything to learn from. They are crappy compared to the ones people do now.If someone went and did something like those they would be flamed for making a crappy fake.....

The first TVs weren't a fraction of the cool that today's TVs are, but they are still revolutionary. Same with the old MKs. Same with Photoshop for God's sake.

It`s like Spider-man nr.1 comic. It`s not as good as new ones but it`s very precious :D

If people were to put this much effort into all fakes, then shitty fakes could be eradicated.
