Midway do not make movies, and have no experience in doing so. Creating the storyline for a game, and writing a movie screenplay are completely different things, and I don't see how Midway will be able to handle the extra work of making a decent film script. Things that work fine in games do not often translate well into movies.

Vogel and the team should probably have more input (as much as they can anyway) on the writing of the movies, and anything else using the MK license. Then hopefully we could get something that matches the plot of the games more closely, and keep any changes small, instead of rubbish like Scorpion and Sub Zero teamed up as Shang Tsung's servants, and pretty much everything in MKA.

I'd certainly let them give it a go, can't be much worse than all the other game to films made by film companies who know nothing about it and change the story completely.

Midway should give input to the movie producers, simply so the upcoming film is faithful to the game. They did this in the first film, but did NOT in the second.
I think they should stick to the games and just give input to the next movie.

Actually they did have input in MKA. John Tobias had lots of input on the script.
