How about an animated theatrical MK flick? And no, I don't mean happy disney bullshit or early 90s cartoon style. I mean something 'anime-styled' (but not cutesy) along the lines of a Peter Chung (Aeon Flux/Reign the Conqueror), Shinichiro Watanabe(Cowboy Bebop/Samurai Champloo), or Kazuto Nakazawa (Kill Bill/'Breaking the Habit' vid) with like, gritty violence and blood spraying everywhere and the anime norm of long dramatic pauses and random meaningless staring.

Now, in my opinion, the only MK movie that will ever work is a remake of MK 1 (or possible MKM:SZ if done in this style) so imagine, if you will, a kick-ass styled Sub-Zero grabbing another guys head and tearing it out with the spinal cord hanging out. C'mon, wouldn't that be fuckin' awesome?

Well, maybe not. You guys (with the probable exception of the occasional otaku...you know who you are) are probably disgusted at the idea of your precious MK turning into a no-holds barred japanimation serial, but thats your position I guess and you're entitled to it.
