I hate it when people say annihlation had a crappy story because it's the same story that was used for MK3

that wasnt the story for mk3 the second movie was a mix of both the games (2 and 3) and the charecters sucked they only had two returning charecters and and no mention of shang tusng or kintaro so they totaly skiped that chapter in the mk saga to sum it up boon and tobias wouldnt have f'ed the movie up if any thing it would be bad ass

Hahaha and THAT's exactly the problem!!! u can't use the EXACT story from a game in a movie cause it looks stupid!!!

That's why the X-men movies had so much success.. they made the story from the script more believable by changing the story slightly... for example Lady Deathstrike is a mutant being used instead of trying to cram the whole logan-yuriko situation into the movie...

I'd like like either an "ultimate" MK (like ultimate marvel) made into a movie... or an asian movie approach, where the mk movie is reminiscent to one of those old martial arts movies (like MK1 was)

I Agree,But even if they did change the Mortal Kombat story slightly,fans would still wanna piss and moan.They did the same thing with Mortal Kombat:Conquest and the fans didn't like the changes.

Funny thing is Conquest is BEFORE MK 1. So how can ppl bitch and moan about a story thats never been told. I mean it was even before Goro was introduced.

I loved MKC. I loved the changes they made.
And, MKA's storyline wasn't the same as MK3. They threw in Shinnok and made the whole Sindel thing a swerve.

But besides those minor diffrences,THEY ARE THE SAME STORY!!! Shao Kahn's attempt to merge Earth With Outworld

yeah... and shaokhan is raiden's brother... and shinnok is their father... same storyline huh?

First off,those changes do not have anything to do with the plot of the film,THE PLOT IS SHAO KAHN MERGING THE EARTH WITH OUTWORLD,The same AS MK3. IDIOTS.

Calm down, professer. The storyline is not the same, the objective of the bad guys is. Such a vague plot can be tracked back to all MK games before MK3... MK3- Kahn tries to merge earth with Outworld, MKII- Kahn tries to merge earth with outworld, and if you look it at right, MK1's storyline also was Kahn trying to merge earth with outworld.

MK3's story- Shao Kahn ressurects Sindel on Earth to merge Earth Realm with Outworld.

MKA's story- Shinnok opens portals to help Shao Kahn invade Earth.

I guess it's all too vague and subjective, but no need to call anyone an idiot.
